(Peter: POV)
Both of us stifling yawns Gwen and I walked to school.
Each slightly sleepy, given we've been putting in the hours in regards to completing our own version of the Super-soldier serum.
Combine that with our hero work, and Gwen's internship at Oscorp Industries, not to mention me putting the finishing touches on the Arc Reactor technology, and overall we're both exhausted.
Actually school is the only time we actually get to relax.
'Huh? To think a day would come when I would ever consider school relaxing.' I thought.
Just as Gwen and I arrived outside Midtown.
Arriving just as Felicia did.
"Morning you two." She spoke to us.
"Morning Felicia." I replied. Stifling another yawn.
"Same." Gwen replied.
"Okay, what's got you two so exhausted?" She asked. Putting a cheshire smile on her face immediately after. "Don't tell me your doing some hanky panky?"
"No, we're not." Gwen instantly replied.
"And even if we weren't we both most certainly aren't the type to kiss and tell." I added. "Also, hanky panky, really? How old are you Hardy? Since that sounds like something my aunt and uncle would say."
"Same for my parents." Gwen added.
"If it fits then why not use it?" Felicia spoke.
"Touche." I replied.
The three of us then walked into the school and headed to our lockers, before heading off to our respective home rooms.
Well Felicia and I went together since she shared the same homeroom as me, Ned, and Harry.
Arriving I went straight to my seat and almost immediately crashed out.
Ned and Harry looking at me when I did.
"Well Pete, you look like shit." Harry spoke.
"Aw, you say the sweetest things to me Harry." I sarcastically replied.
"Thanks. I try." He told me. "Though seriously Peter, are you okay?"
"Yeah, just tired is all. Due to being busy with stuff." I explained.
"And what stuff is that?" Harry asked.
"Stuff." I replied, smirking.
"Fine. Keep your secrets." Harry playfully replied.
"Ah, these male bonding moments are the best." Ned chimed in. Nodding his head gently. "Oh, that's right Peter did you hear, in the next few weeks Oscorp is going to be having a very special exposition by none other than one of your heroes. Dr. Otto Octavious." He spoke.
"Really?" I questioned.
Though inwardly I suppressed a shudder.
For if there was anyone who deserved a better life than they had in the films it is most certainly the Maguire Otto Octavious.
I mean the man had a wife, a good career, and was on the verge of changing the world.
Only for all of it to come crashing down in a single instant.
Well that's most definitely not going to fucking happen on my watch.
"Yeah." Ned replied. "I'm actually surprised Gwen didn't tell you."
"Because it's not something my dad wants to advertise just yet." Harry admitted. "And the only reason I found out is because I overheard a conversation between him and Dr. Octavious arranging the whole thing. Also Ned, I said to keep the info on the down low."
"And I did. Now besides us and Liz only Peter knows. And Peter can keep a secret." Ned spoke.
Having no idea how very right he was.
"I can." I replied. "But of course I'm telling Gwen."
"Of course you are." Harry spoke.
"Your darn right. Because a happy girl equals a happy life."
"I couldn't agree more." Harry replied.
The two of us then did a manly handshake before chatting a bit longer until class started.
But once it did I made a few plans mentally for the upcoming event surrounding Dr. Octavious before heading off to dreamland.

(3rd Person: POV)
While Peter, and Gwen, were catching up on their sleep in a lab in a different part of the city MacDonald Gargan found himself standing inside of a clear chamber.
Wearing a green and partly mechanized suit that physically resembled a Scorpion.
While on the outside of the chamber, near a terminal, stood J. Jonah Jameson and one Dr. Farley Stiwell.
An expert geneticist.
Turning his gaze to Farley Jameson put a scrutinizing look on his face. "This better work Farley. Especially with the money I'm paying you."
"No need to worry Mr. Jameson. I guarantee you this procedure will not fail." Farley replied.
He then activated the speaker inside of the chamber. "We're ready to begin Mr. Gargan." He said.
"O...okay." Gargan replied hesitantly.
A natural thing considering he was about to have his DNA altered and combined with that of Scorpion DNA.
A daunting prospect.
But he had already taken Jameson money, not to mention the man offered him half of what he already payed him if he actually succeeded in defeating and unmasking both Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
A deal that was too tantilizing for Gargan to pass up.
Especially since he wanted to give himself and his fiancee, Sarah Baker, a better life.
Thinking about that Gargan steeled his nerves to the best of his abilities.
"Hit me doc." Gargan spoke.
When he did Farley pressed several buttons on the terminal he and Jameson were standing in front of.
A few seconds after he did a light green gas flooded the chamber Gargan was standing in.
"Agh....agh!!!!" Gargan began shouting in agony a few seconds later.
Falling to his knees he clenched his stomach and began thrashing wildly.
Jameson taking a step back when this began happening.
"No need to fear Mr. Jameson. The chamber is properly reinforced enough to handle Mr. Gargan strength, even with the changes currently taking place inside of him." Farley spoke confidently.
A smirk on his face.
One that proved true, as no matter how badly Gargan thrashed against the chamber it didn't break.
Holding him until eventually he settled down.
Once he did Farley pressed another button on the terminal and the gas was sucked out of the chamber.
Then once it was entirely clear the chamber itself lifted up.
As it did Gargan stood to his feet.
Now looking learner and more muscular.
His body now filling out the scorpion suit he was wearing without any issues.
"How do you feel Mr. Gargan?" Farley asked.
"Like I can take on anyone." Gargan replied.
Flicking his scorpion tail.
A confident smile appearing on his face.
"Excellent." Farley replied.
"I agree." Jameson said. Walking up to Farley. A smile on his face. "Gargan with you as you are now Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider won't know what hit them." He spoke.
"I couldn't agree more." Gargan replied.
Flicking his tail again.
As the Scorpion has been born.
