Until a little past 6 in the morning, the heavy rain was still pouring.
When Sigrdrifa woke up, she saw Aske sitting by the window.
The cabinet originally blocking the window had been moved away, allowing rain to continuously seep through the cracks between the wood and the burlap. Aske had dragged a chair over, sitting cross-legged with his legs on the chair, staring motionlessly outside.
It's already morning!
Sigrdrifa felt a somewhat uncontrollable sense of regret. She had planned to spend the night with the Squad Leader, but ended up falling asleep early last night. Truly disappointing.
She angrily punched the bed.
Aske turned his head, and Sigrdrifa quickly put on a smile.
Then she noticed the water pooling on the floor: "What's this..."
"It's been raining heavily all night," Aske replied.
