Some of those were based on who was born with a strong ability, while others were power types that required training to unlock or to improve them to a higher level.
Some of those abilities were innate abilities that all of their race possessed from birth, while some others were unlocked after meeting certain conditions or undergoing some kind of experience.
Some races were born physically weak with no powers unique to their race, while others were blessed with great physical strength and other aspects that allowed them to thrive on their planet or in the universe.
Others had training methods of their own development that let the weak become strong, while others chose another path as they developed ways to defend their weak bodies.
Some turned to weaponry, some turned to taming the wildlife, some turned to mechanical technology, while others turned to plant life and other unique possibilities that could be used to enhance their way of life and to protect it.
Some even sought out ways to give themselves power through modifying their bodies using cyborg modifications or implants, while others sought out other ways to grant themselves power, like developing super serums.
That did not mean that Haki did not exist; it just meant that it was just as uncommon a thing as it was on Blue Star.
Others displayed traits of using Haki, but it was called very differently among different cultures, and the way they used it differed slightly.
Some were described as not being black, as Armament Haki coats the body in its visible state, and it was the same with how Conqueror's Haki appeared as red or purple lightning sparks that come from the body wildly.
Some of the appearances and manifestations varied as the colours were different, along with a couple of other details, but a lot of the information related to them did make it seem like Haki.
The main thing that did not leave behind much information about it was Observation Haki, as it could easily be overlooked since there were no real visual representations that could give away its usage.
If people did use it, then it could easily be mistaken for another power, like some races possessing great observation or prediction abilities.
It was the same for any psychic-related ability that could just as easily be mistaken for Observation Haki if it was only used to sense and predict the movements of the surroundings.
Meanwhile, on the ship of Ripley, she was busy watching one of the screens as she was piloting her ship.
She was busy sipping on a nutritional drink while watching what was playing on it.
Her giant size made her look huge compared to the two smaller figures that were watching her as they sat on her shoulders.
One of those was Bunbun, who was rubbing her arm, complaining. "Why won't this come off!"
Ripley laughed in response before commenting. "Sorry, but that is a permanent body marking. You should really learn some things or ask others before just trying them out like that.
The process of removal would be costly and painful. Especially with that furry body of yours… You will have to get shaved first, otherwise the methods used will cause your fur to catch fire, so yeah…"
The red eyes of Bunbun widened in horror. "No thanks. They look pretty. I love them.. yeah…"
Medea rolled her blue eyes before tucking her blonde hair behind her ear. "So tell me what this is again."
Ripley nodded as she pressed the screen that began playing. "Just watch. This is a video I found of a quite well-known survivalist. Her name is Katja Ryder, and she films things like this on different planets."
Without explaining further, the video started causing a grey-skinned alien woman to appear on screen.
She had a slender figure with an average stature, with large breasts; there were slightly deformed ridges on her forehead, and she had small, pointy ears.
She had a pair of yellow eyes that had cross-shaped pupils with short, messy green hair.
She was wearing goggles on her head that were paired with a big scarf over her mouth, a white tank top, green cargo pants, a single hoop earring in one ear, and she was carrying a backpack and a machete that was strapped to her shoulders and waist.
She smiled toward the camera before speaking in a cheerful tone. "Katja Ryder's survival starts now. As always, I have my limited supplies, and I must survive for the set time promised.
This time we will be going to a very dangerous planet. Even researching this planet gave me the creeps, but I will still be going."
Ripley skipped a lot of the introduction as it started getting into the specifics, as Katja went on to explain as she stepped off her ship. "Now, say goodbye to the ship! Rule number one here! Do not stay for too long if you have transport.
You will find out why later! Hehe!"
The scene soon skips past parts as Katja journeys around in search of food, supplies and shelter before night arrives.
Some minor ruins and sites were found from a past civilisation, but there was no life there anymore.
Night soon came as Katja managed to find a more secure spot, but the night was full of terror that she would never forget for the rest of her life.
Swarms and swarms of long-horned black creatures came out at night as they attacked anything and everything they flew into.
Some fought among themselves while others were seeking other sources of food or something to kill.
They were creatures of the night that brought pure carnage and death to those who were caught in the darkness on the planet.
All that Katja could do was cover her mouth and try to hide her presence as much as possible for the first night while she made use of her light source to defend herself and keep them at bay once they did get too close to her.
