Haru broke out of his stupor, and stepped into the room.
"Sorry about that," Haru said sheepish, as he looked at the tied up boy who was now looking curiously at him, not losing even a shred of suspicion.
"Who are you?"The boy barked out, his eyes showing the distrust he felt towards him.
"I am Haru.You?"
"Haru? What kind of name is that? Look, if you were just going to lie, then you should have just told me you can't tell your name," the raven haired boy said, his distrustful eyes now filled with more caution.
Haru scoffed, feeling a bit angry of being called a liar by a boy he didn't even know of just 15 seconds ago. "I am not lying. My name is Haru, you dumbass. How about you give me your name and I will be the judge of it."
The raven haired growled," Well, its Adonis."
Haru raised his eyebrow in skepticism.
"Narcissistic much, huh."
The boy in question blushed while Haru thought that the name really suited the boy. He himself was in an awe of the boy, taken aback by his beauty that he could not even utter a word and if not broken out of his stupor by Adonis, he would have stared at the face for hours.
"Shut up,"Adonis said, though his words are harsh, he seems to be slowly relaxing and to Haru's own surprise, he also felt a bit relaxed.
They stared at each other for a moment before Adonis sighed tiredly.
"So... Are you here to save me or not? If you are, then help me in getting me out of these damn ropes and if you are not, then kill me though I assure you, I will not make it easy for you."
Haru smiled sheepishly, suddenly remembering his objective and moved towards the boy, with a knife in his hand. Seeing the knife, Adonis tensed, clearly not expecting that the boy was really going to kill him, however despite this, the boy still maintained a stoic face, though his trembling hands to an observant eye would be able to tell that this boy was not completely fearless.
Haru, oblivious to Adonis thoughts, as he had never in his previous life, been thought of as a murderer, simply continued to walk towards the boy and got behind him.
'From behind, huh?' Adonis thought.
However, contrary to Adonis thinking, Haru started cutting Adonis ropes leaving him a bit speechless but also with relief.
"So you are really here to save me, huh? Did my father send you? But why would he send a child your age?" Adonis asked, confused and also skeptical.
" No, I am not sent by your father. I didn't even know who you were, how will I know your father?" Haru questioned, thinking that the boy must be a noble, judging by his clothes and his manner of speaking.
The Noble boy seems to realize this and asked, confused and also a bit aggrieved. "Alright, if you are not sent from my father, then why are you here? While I don't know where I am, but this place seems to be far away from my father's territory and outside of civilization. "
Haru recognized the apprehensive tone in Adonis's voice but was not offended by it because his question was reasonable. How can a boy, who doesn't even seem to be 6 can be here?
"This place is in a forest. I live near here when I heard children cries. When I went near, I found that they were being taken somewhere so I followed it and reached here. "
Adonis was astounded by hearing the boy's explanation because even thinking about it was just absurd.
"Are you an idiot?" Adonis screeched, his eyes wide with astonishment and disbelief. He questioned both himself and god, wondering, 'Is it really possible for someone so stupid to exist?!'
Adonis grabbed Haru's collar and shook him, leaving him dizzy. The raven-haired boy muttered about how stupid can this boy be and was he dropped on his head when he was born?
"Stop! Stop!" Haru yelled, trying to free himself from Adonis's grip, however his body even before being abandoned in the forest was weak and he had only grown frailer, due to at times not being able to catch himself a fish or being too weak to shoot for an apple. Despite Mr. Ambroise's efforts to ensure that he received 3 meals, years of malnourishment wouldn't disappear within a week.
Adonis finally calmed down, his hand resting on his head. "You stupid fool, do you even know how dangerous these people are? How could you have followed them? How can your guardian even leave an idiot like you unattended?"
Haru stayed silent, his eyes downcast because now that he was thinking about it, maybe he should have waited for Mr. Ambroise to come back. What can a physically as well as at times mentally a 6-year-old boy can even do in this situation? He had also broken his promise to Mr. Ambroise, leaving the hut despite the warning. He could feel tears in his eyes, aching for a familiar warmth of Mr. Ambroise, who was so strong and cared so much about him. Mr. Ambroise had even promised to take him to his own home. How could he have been so stupid? He had ruined everything.
Adonis who stood silent, observing the downcast figure and realised that the boy's eyes were slowly becoming watery. Adonis by nature was not a person who was able to comfort others but by looking at the trembling figure of the boy, he couldn't stop him from pulling the boy in a hug.
"Shh, don't worry, we will definitely find your parents. I promise," Adonis could feel the boy trembling lessened as he tightened the hug, also feeling touch starved. It's been 3 days since he has been kidnapped and beaten, locked into this dark room with a blindfold. No matter how mature he was for his age, he was still a 6-year-old boy who has been kidnapped. Just as he was about to say more soothing words, his collar was grabbed and his legs were suddenly in the air, he started kicking his legs, desperate to be freed, Haru beside him was also in the same situation.
The two heard an ominous chuckle and they turned their head to find a plain looking man, who had an ugly scar on his face looking at them with contempt.
"Bastard No.1!" Haru shouted, increasing his efforts to be freed but he was no opponent against such a huge and burly man.
Bastard No.1 tightened his grip, making them moan in pain and said, "You have such a mouth, you brat. Let's see how long you can mouth off!"
