The three villains were astounded to see the door being kicked open and a dozen armored warrior stormed in, their hand on their hilts—ready to draw their swords— and glaring at them maliciously. Yet, the one who they were tmost scaried of were not the armed soldiers but rather of a handsome man with long white hair and violet eyes, wearing a simple white shirt and black pant, with his sword drawed out.
The soldiers knew they were here to save the Ironheart heir, but when they saw the heir of the Magic tower, their stone-faced expression flickered with surprise before returning to a hardened expression. However, one of the newbies couldn't help but blurt out, "The boy is the heir of Magic tower. What is he doing here?"
The soldiers, already depressed that their incompetence had led to the Duke being attacked and left to die in the forest, were now learning that their Duke's heir had also been living in this forest for who knows how long, and just when they thought they could bring the heir to the the dukedom, their heir was not in the hut but rather in the vile man hand.
Rage filled the knights hearts, their hands trembling, aching to sever the hands of these wicked bastard who dared to hold the heirs of two of the strongest families in the Aigle empire.
"W-what? Who are you people? How dare you barge in here!" Laired Pepi shouted, panicked and stressed, looking at the armed soldiers. He already knew that they were no match to these people, however what he wanted to know was—who were they and how did they know about this location?
"I-is that the sign of Ironheart emblem?" Bastard No. 1 stammered, his finger trembled pointing out the Ironheart emblem stitched on the men's pocket and etched on their helmet.
"W-what? You guys are Ironheart knight!" The boss screamed, fear clear on his face. He tried to stand, but his knees buckled and he collapsed on the floor with a thud. Pain shoot though his legs, but he could do nothing—even if wanted to. His fear wasn't directed at the knights but the one who remained unmoved through this entire ordeal, eyes locked solely only on the two kids.
"Mister Ambroise!" Haru hiccuped. He didn't know what was happening but he knew that now he was safe. His mister Ambroise was here and he would protect him and keep him safe.
"Haru!" Ambroise said, relieved to see his son safe and sound, while also ensuring that Adonis too was also safe.
Adonis, however, had already calmed down upon seeing the Ironheart knights and his Uncle Ambroise. He felt secured. His Uncle Ambroise would protect him. But now, other thoughts were beginning to form in his mind. He looked back and forth between Ambroise and Haru, and seeing their striking resemblance, a strange thought popped into his head, 'Is Haru Uncle Ambroise's son?'
Ambroise, who couldn't bear to see his son crying, stepped forward but a sudden cry rang out from Green, who had been silent until now suddenly drew out a knife and held it against Haru's neck.
"Haru!" Adonis and Ambroise shouted.
"Green!" The boss and his lackey shouted.
'Had Green gone completely senile?' the two boss and lackey thought, 'this is the Ironheart. The one known for their ruthlessness. For generations, Ironheart family has served as commanders and chief, protecting borders, carrying out excursion to places where even the strongest will hesitate to enter. Despite the fact Ironheart family were Duke, they, for every emperor reign, had remained the most trusted by the emperor, even though there were still four grand dukes and five dukes. Even in the reign of the Evildoer emperor, when the Ironheart family had distanced themselves from his tyranny, their reputation remained as the guardian of the Aigle empire. Some say that even though the Ironheart family is not grand duke, their power is actually more than that of a grand duke'.
Realising this, the boss and his lackey truly believed Green had gone insane because even though they still don't know the exact identity of these knight, the mere presence of Ironheart's emblem should have made them kneel down and beg for mercy.
Green laughed maniacally.Reasons and logic had abandoned him. He gripped Haru tightly-his right hand on the boy's waist to ensure that he didn't squirm while his left hand was holding a knife against Haru throat.
"Hahaha, " Green laughed, "I can't believe that the Duke of Ironheart, Ambroise Ironheart, will himself appears on our footsteps and that his own son has voluntarily walked on our doorstep. Don't think I didn't notice the similarities. Only in the Ironheart bloodline inherit snow-white hair and violet eyes. "
Hearing this, even the Ironheart's heir was shocked but he had no time to be surprised- for a sharp pain bloomed at his throat. Though he couldn't look down, he could feel his blood tickling down his neck.
"If I kill the Ironheart's heir, surely Spider will see my worth and accept me!" The insane man shouted, "I will kill this br-AAAGH!" He screamed in agony, his hand holding the knife was suddenly chopped by Ambroise's sword.
The two children didn't even had the time to process what was happening when they picked by Bentick, who immediately whisked them away, followed closely by Barlowe, who had to examine both the heirs conditions, his keen eyes had already that whole Adonis had not shown much expression of pain, he had limped and had difficulty in standing up while Haru had a handprint on his face and the bleeding neck wound. Their conditions were still hidden by their clothes.
They exited the factory and a carriage was already waiting for them,a knight waiting by the carriage. Seeing them, he immediately bowed and stood guard. Bentick immediately placed the two kids in the carriage, and Barlowe immediately wanted to examine Haru's neck wound, but was refused.
"I want Mister Ambroise!" He said, his voice indignant and stubborn. His small brain hasn't quite comprehend that he was the son of Mister Ambroise and that he was a duke, however, he didn't care about such matters right now. He just wanted Mister Ambroise.
The two men were helpless, while Adonis barely able to sit straight, tried to comfort Haru. Seeing his stubborness which reminded them of Ambroise, they could only sigh and start examine Adonis who, due to tiredness, let them do it with his utmost cooperation.
They only had to wait a little while, however their backs were denched from sweat. Haru had continued to bleed, they had tried to reason with Haru but he refused to acknowledge them, his eyes fixed on the entrance of the factory.
Ambroise finally emerged. Seeing that his son was still bleeding and his men looking with tensed, he immediately understood the situation. Haru's face visibly brightened and his hand extended.
"Mister Ambroise!" He croaked, and Mister Ambroise scooped him up. Feeling the familiar warmth and scent, he felt safe-and fainted in his father's arms.
