Narra let the gang inside as he pulled them into a room in the back of his cave.
Inside the room has nothing but a pedestal with a wooden chest outlined by gold sitting on top. Narra neared the pedestal then pushed some hidden buttons on the chest and it opened.
Inside the chest is a single glowing verdant crystal that has a spiraling shape, and the center looks like its suppose to hold something. Cool air then start to enter the room despite the lack of window as the crystal started to float.
"Alright, its all set, which one of you is suppose to be the hero of the wind?" Narra turned around, crossed arms, and asked the group.
The group then all looked at Kristin, the only one to use wind magic amongst them.
"Wait why are you looking at me?" Kristin said as all this time she's just absent mindedly following the group.
"Well, you're the only one who uses wind magic, you're the obvious choice to obtain this crystal thing," Alex said.
"I- fine," Kristin pause as she just walked towards the pedestal with the glowing green spiral crystal.
As soon as she neared it, it started vibrating. Although Narra and finch doesn't look bothered by it, but the next moment surprised them as the crystal flew towards Kristin as even she was caught off guard.
Soon a cool sensation filled her body, like a cool breeze on a hot summer day, as it formed a necklace around her neck.
The necklace began to change shape. Its spiraling crystal began to close in on itself as soon the spiral became an oval shape as it now resembled a pendant.
Inside the pendant, 3 shapes could be seen; a flame, a water drop and what looks like a group of triangles.
Everyone is speechless, especially Narra and Finch as this hasn't happened before. Both of them looked at each other, not knowing what to say.
Kristin on the other hand started to receive some memories, specifically on the shapes on the now pendant necklace. She saw vivid 'visions' on how to obtain the other shapes in order to use its full potential.
And as she acquire more memories, the wind inside the supposed vault started to go haywire. Like a storm forming, strong winds began to engulf the whole room.
The group is being swept off their feet, luckily Alex cast his Domain that protected everyone... Well at least enough to not sweep everyone off their feet but the strong winds still gets through as his Domain actually starts to crack.
!!!
Alarm rose from Alex. He tried to repair it but the gust of wind is simple too strong.
"We gotta snap her out of it! My Domain wont last long if this continues, unless you want to be flung around like a ragdoll!" Alex yelled on the top of his lungs as the winds are screeching in everyone's ear.
The others nodded, they never dealt with this before as they are still relatively new to this world, but Finch isn't.
He acted quick as soon as he came out of Alex's Domain, he rode the wind as he got closer to Kristin but before he could reach her, the wind stopped.
Everything dropped to the ground.
Finch almost face planted to the ground, good thing he caught himself.
The others just stared silently as Alex deactivated his domain.
"I have to get the other pieces..." Kristin whispered, and although it wasn't loud, the others still heard it as the room is just an enclosed space.
"It won't be that easy," Finch replied as he tried to play cool like he didn't just almost faceplant to the ground, "There's suppose to be a trial for this, but this is a special case as we are short on man power and needed powerful combatants."
"Excuse me but I just gotta ask," Alex spoke.
"What is it?" Finch raised an eyebrow.
"If these thunder beast are so difficult to take down, how did I killed one so easily?" Alex inquired.
"Because... That was a newborn" Finch replied with a darkened face, "And we suspect its the reason the thunder beasts are acting early was because of that newborn's death."
Alex and the others were shocked, to say the least. That 'newborn' was HUGE, to say the least.
That wolf is almost 2 meters in height, easily shadowing most of the villagers, and a good 3-4 meters long, along with fur that looks like it has lightning running across it.
Alex thought about it more and now he understood why it couldn't dodge while he fired a shot, it wasn't that he's railgun was too fast, its because the wolf was too slow and inexperienced.
"Wait, if that thing was small, how big are the adults?" Leslie blurted out, she saw how big the wolf was, it scared her to the core and she was amazed that Alex brought down an animal that size.
"You lads saw how tall the trees are right?" Narra asked.
The others nodded nervously, already knowing the answer.
"An adult thunder beast is bigger than those."
