When Rudra Sena heard about Parantakan, he was shocked. Curious to know what Parantakan was planning, Rudra Sena asked. We went to the secret chamber to investigate. Suddenly, we heard a sound, as though someone was approaching. To our surprise, it was none other than Parantakan himself. Hearing this left us deeply shaken. We hid nearby and watched carefully to see what was happening.
That was when we discovered the truth: Parantakan had, over many years, slain countless people and trapped their souls to forge a mighty sword. This sword was unlike any other—it could not be matched or countered. Not only that, Parantakan had performed numerous rituals, binding those souls into the blade, and using their essence to strengthen his own body. Every full moon, he offered his blood in worship to the demonic forces of the underworld. Through dark spells, he had been feeding blood to those demons for years, and those who drank it grew stronger, their bodies infused with his essence.
Though he had not yet attained complete invincibility, his power was already formidable. It was a mistake to underestimate him. If he were to fully transform into a demon, we would have to stop him immediately. But there was something even greater at stake. Parantakan was preparing to release a terrible demon on the coming ninth month. Whether he intended to free it or attempt some other ritual was unclear, but we knew we had to remain vigilant.
Ken then suggested an idea: "This kingdom hides many secrets, and within its libraries lie countless books. Perhaps one of them contains the means to prevent the demon's release." Bimbisan agreed, calling it a wise plan, and Rudra Sena too supported it. Rudra Sena declared, "I must first go to the temple and enter the hidden chamber beyond the one you visited. It is protected by powerful enchantments. I will summon you there."
Later, Oberion brought forth a book we had once entrusted to him. Just then, a warrior arrived with a message: the sage Jaala Munivar wished to meet us. We went secretly to his cave, where he revealed the truth.
"Listen carefully," said Jaala Munivar. "Parantakan is not what you think. His mind is clouded, and you do not know what he truly awaits. His ambition is to gain power equal to the gods themselves. He seeks not only to release the demon but to unite the armies of hell under his command. With them, he dreams of conquering Amaravati. Rudra Sena, even you cannot stop him alone. Your ancestors made a vow: the throne must always be protected, never opposed. That is why they gave up their weapons. You must understand—this burden lies upon you alone."
He continued, "Parantakan's true goal is the sacred book of Amaravati, which contains forbidden spells and the boon of immortality. If he gains it, he will become deathless, ruling forever. The only way to stop him is with the great weapon we possess—the Irmuni Sword. Only that blade can destroy him. Without it, Amaravati cannot be saved."
