I couldn't understand everything that was happening; everything was happening so fast, but I didn't have time to think about it right now.
Things like hesitation, doubt, or even confusion are useless in an emergency just as they are fatal in a battle. If you don't know what's happening, then act first and think later.
The entire universe was creaking, endless cracks were forming, rifts were beginning to open, and the power of reality was decaying as if it were being degraded slightly.
Standing still was asking for disaster, so my first thought was to return to the others. I turned around, and the challenge from before loomed once more, a wall of miasma that seemed to have no end.
