Chapter 182 - Chapter 182

Inside the Heart of the Tree of Beginning in Ransei, Aizen stared into the distance as Iris played around with all the Pokémon. However, his mind was somewhere else.

Suddenly, he took out the blue glowing Tesseract from his Promise Ball and stared at its beauty.

Last night, Lyla had told him how to use it, and he had been frowning ever since.

Why did she want him to use it?

It had been seven days since they had arrived here in Ransei, and yesterday, the reinforcements finally joined the ranks with them.

Joseph and Bill had come, leaving everything else on hold, and with them were Volkner, who was a former Gym Leader from Sinnoh, specialising in Electric Pokémon, Clair Blackthorn, who was Lance's cousin and fiancée, specialising in Dragon Pokémon, Diantha, who was the Kalos Champion, and surprisingly, Drayden, who was a Dragon Master and Iris' friend.

"Eeuuu..."

Latias and Latios, whom he had quietly called to his side by visiting the Tree of Beginning on Blanc Island, rubbed their faces on his cheeks, telling him that everyone was waiting.

"Yes."

Glancing at the girl one last time, Aizen left his Eevee, Shinx, Riolu, the two Sandile, and Zorua with her and exited the Tree of Beginning.

The Team was all set, and the plans had been made.

Aizen, however, refused the plan that they had come up with, much to everyone's shock.

"Tell your Psychic Pokémon to link with Latias and Latios," he said, and before anyone could react, Sabrina did as he had asked.

Krane, Riley, and Phoebe did the same, and then Joseph, Bill, and Diantha followed his order.

"What are you planning?" Drayden asked as he called out his Mega Alakazam.

"I will lead the operation. You will stay a few leagues behind me, and only when I give you the signal will you approach the Citadark Isle."

"That is dangerous. If their satellites catch you, it could be the end of our operation before it even starts," Diantha worriedly said.

"I will be fine." Aizen shook his head and smiled at her Mega Gardevoir, who bowed to him. "Remember, only at my signal will you approach the Citadark Isle. If you mess up, you will be held responsible for the consequences by me." He warned them all, including Joseph.

"We understand." Bill solemnly nodded his head.

"Let's go," said the Orayen Prince as he teleported up into the air, and a Pokémon, who was invisible to them all, flew up into the sky, leaving behind a strong gust of wind.

Riley's eyes widened in surprise when he used his Aura Sight and saw the Shadow Lugia, and then he grinned before he called out his Aerodactyl and climbed on its back, chasing Aizen with the rest of them.

As he had asked, everyone stayed a few leagues behind him, and hours later when their Psychic Companions asked them to stop, they stopped.

"He found it so soon?" Volkner asked in surprise.

"The Lugia knew where the Isle was located," Riley told the man and then frowned, worried for his friend.

Unbeknownst to them, Aizen was standing in the air right above the Citadark Isle, staring at thousands of life signatures on the island, and two hundred and thirty-four people.

His presence had not been noticed yet, but it would soon be noticed by them.

Taking a deep breath, he recalled Shadow Lugia inside the Promise Ball, and Latias and Latios were already in the air by his sides.

He took out the Tesseract, covered it with his palms, and carefully injected his Aura into it before pointing its bottom at the massive dome in the crater of the volcano. If his guess was right, it was the Command Centre of the Isle.

Suddenly, the Tesseract shone brightly, almost blindingly bright, and as expected, the people on the Isle grew restless.

However, it was too late for them.

A powerful energy beam shot out of the cube, lightning fast, and struck the dome, resulting in a massive explosion.

Aizen, on the other hand, had been propelled hundreds of metres further up in the air just by the sheer recoil, and his arms ached a little now.

"All set." He called out to his Latias and Latios, who quickly contacted the Psychic Pokémon of the Action Team.

The Prince sent the now dimly shining Tesseract back inside the Promise Ball, and then dived down into the Island on the back of his Mega Salamence.

Seeing the formation of the enemy Pokémon waiting for him, his mind buzzed, and then he briefly shared his vision with the two Psychic Dragons by his side before they entered the state of Battle Bond.

A few seconds later, the three Mega Dragons shot out their powerful Hyper Beams, which crashed against the attacks of the enemies and overpowered them.

"Fly." Aizen commanded, and all three shot up back into the sky. Once high enough, he called out Atlas and his Dragonite, and then the five of them used Draco Meteor, unleashing hell on the Cipher Headquarters.

When the Action Team entered the storm clouds and surrounded the Island, they were shocked at the devastation that the Prince had rained there, and then their hearts skipped a beat when they saw him shoot down from the sky like a star, and then teleport right onto the Isle.

Without wasting any time, Joseph, Bill, and Sabrina teleported onto the Island as well, understanding that there was either a lapse in the Wards or they were gone now.

The Moonheart, having locked on the Psychic Focus of her Fiancé, appeared right by his side, and immediately called out her Mega Gallade, Mega Blaziken, and her Mega Alakazam to aid them.

She only kept her Mega Gardevoir and Golurk by her side, and the two Fighting Pokémon followed Aizen's lead, and her Mega Alakazam kept an eye on everything together with the Prince's Mega Gengar, who was hiding in his shadow.

Sounds of gunfire, explosions, cries of Pokémon, and quakes rocked the Citadark, and the enemies were shaken by what was happening.

They had clearly not been expecting an attack on their Headquarters, and the rogue Auror and the two Psychics were working together, trying to find a way to escape, but Riley, Drayden, Diantha, Phoebe, Krane, and Volkner in the sky gave them no opportunity for it.

Everything was going their way until an explosion of poisonous gas occurred, and the Action Team tensed up at the sight of the massive four Gengar, who had appeared out of nowhere.

These were not Alpha Gengar. These were Shadow Gengar, standing over ten metres in height, and crazed in madness.

To their horror, one of them Self-Destructed, creating a powerful wave of poison and Ghostly Energies, which rattled the minds of the Psychics and their Psychic Pokémon.

Then the remaining three Gengar formed the Destiny Bond and also committed suicide.

Aizen protected Sabrina and sent all their Pokémon inside the Promise Ball.

He then teleported to Joseph and Bill's side and saved their Pokémon from being consumed by the Shadow Energies.

His eyes ran wild as he scanned the Isle, pushing his Aura Sight to its limits, and then teleported to a dozen different places to save the Pokémon of his Team and any others that he came across.

"I will stay by your side." Sabrina, who was awake, told him, and he nodded to her before he requested Shadow Lugia to take everyone from his Team back to the Tree of Beginning in Ransei.

Latias and Latios were struggling against the Ghostly Energies, and their Battle Form had worn off now. He sent the two together with Shadow Lugia, despite all their protests.

"You will stay high in the sky with Sky, Aerius, and our other Pokémon."

His Moon obediently nodded her head as she climbed her Aerodactyl and rushed up.

Only Riley and Phoebe were still fine, since they were both Aurors, and his dear friend gritted his teeth and promised to stay up as well whilst Phoebe accompanied Lugia as they retreated.

Aizen then stared at the volcano that had suddenly erupted, and then gritting his teeth, he teleported back inside the cloud of Ghostly Energies and poison.

Only his Mega Gengar was by his side, and the two of them rushed at the enemies who had entered the lift and were going deep into the ground, under the volcano.

They entered the base, killed every person they came across, sent every normal Pokémon inside the Promise Ball, and after making sure that only Criminals and Shadow Pokémon remained on the Isle, he teleported right inside the underwater base.

Aizen's heart skipped a beat when he sensed the Dark Auror and the two Psychics leaving in a submarine, and there was another man, small of stature, who reeked of a disgusting Aura as well.

"Mewtwo..." he helplessly called out to the Pokémon who was resting inside the Master Ball. "If they escape today, many innocent Pokémon will suffer. I cannot stop them. Please, help me." He pleaded, and just when he was about to lose hope, the Master Ball blinked, and Mewtwo, in a streak of light, smashed right through the glass wall and chased after the submarine.

Aizen was stunned at what the Empyrean Pokémon had just done, and his heart skipped a beat when he saw the water breaking in.

He quickly recalled the Gengar, but when he was about to teleport away, he heard a cry for help from a pair of Pokémon.

Aizen glanced at the cylindrical chambers and froze when he saw two shining Psychic Pokémon locked inside, their bodies being torn with the Ghostly Energies.

He did not know where he found the strength, but with all the Aura left in his body, he smashed his fist into the glass wall of the chamber, even though he knew that he would suffer as a result of all the Ghostly Energies that rushed at him.

His mind blanked, but he managed to send the two Pokémon inside the Promise Ball before the water, with terrifying force, crashed into him.

When his mind cleared up again, he saw a red light blink in the lab, and instead of teleporting up, he teleported to the depths of the sea.

He slowly blinked as he watched a terrifying explosion, which destroyed the entire Citadark Isle, and was completely helpless against the shockwave that was heading his way.

A stream of memories flashed through his mind, and he smiled when he saw the faces of Anira, Lyla, Cynthia, Sabrina, Aurea, Misty, and his grandmother.

He tried to fight, but both his Aura and Psychic reserves were completely exhausted at this point, and he was unwilling to sacrifice his Gyarados or any other Pokémon to save his life.

"I am sorry..." he whispered in his mind before he lost consciousness.

The shockwaves were only a few feet away from him when a spherical barrier surrounded him. Mewtwo appeared by his side in that barrier, carrying a bunch of Pokéballs floating in the air, and also some caged Pokémon, which it freed and sent inside the Promise Ball.

For a moment, its hand reached for Aizen's neck, as if to kill him and take the Promise Ball away, but Gengar suddenly appeared out of it and threatened the Empyrean Legendary.

"You will die for him?" Mewtwo asked the Pokémon, who was ready to fight to the death to protect his Master, and Mewtwo then sensed how restless everyone inside the Promise Ball was getting. "Intriguing..."

To Shadow's relief, Mewtwo just touched the Promise Ball and returned inside it, taking along all the Pokémon it had rescued, and when the shockwaves subsided, it sent out Gyarados from its Pokéball, just in time for the sphere to burst open.

The Shiny Gyarados created rings of water, binding its Trainer to his body, and then rushed towards the surface as fast as it could.
