Whisker stared at the green lotus from the shore, standing atop Alex's shoulders. "I have to cultivate in there?" he asked.
"Yes," Alex explained. "Just go in and cultivate for a month. The flower will improve your soul while you cultivate, so let it do that."
Whisker nodded. "Wasn't this supposed to be for you, brother?" he asked.
"It was, but it seems I can't use it. So you'll have to use it instead," Alex said. "Don't think too much about it and just start. I'll let the others know what you're doing."
Whisker nodded. "I'll start right away then."
Whisker was taken to the lotus by the staff from earlier, who helped him get inside the petals of the flower. As Whisker began cultivating, the lotus began surrounding him and enveloped him entirely.
