"Zefa? Hm, nice name." Zefa muttered standing up. He doesn't know where exactly to go so he decided to follow the river.
Zefa walk beside the river as it was bright enough for him to see, Zefa haven't seen any wildlife other than that goblin. While Zefa was thinking, he suddenly hit something but there was nothing there.
"Aghh, it's the border already? I must be far from the center then." Zefa said holding his head that hit the invisible wall. When Zefa was creating 'the world' he didn't actually create a whole planet. He just created a continent size land, cause you don't need to explore the world when you are exploring the internet.
Zefa then walks in the opposite direction of the border as he thought he might find civilization near the center of the continent.
"This forest is actually pretty calm for all the things that can happen." Zefa thought out loud admiring the forest.
After walking for a while Zefa noticed the sun beginning to rise. "After an hour of walking, there is still no sign of any wildlife or anything that look edible, and the sun is beginning to rise too.".
The forest was rather questionable, Zefa never saw or heard any animals when he walked as the forest was silent and all that Zefa could hear was his own footsteps and the wind brushing the trees.
"Didn't I ate before login in? I'm already hungry..." Zefa thought after hearing his stomach grumbled as he started to walk faster. Still knowing nothing about what has happened to him, all he knew is that he couldn't access the system.
When Zefa was creating the world, it technically falls under the game category in his past world. As it is similar to a normal RPG game fighting fantasy monsters. But the monster that would come to his Dream World isn't just any fantasy creatures, there will be more...
Because his Dream World falls under the game category, people would feel hunger from the game but It will not cause extreme pain or damage the real body. But for Zefa, he is in his real body.
As Zefa was walking for another long time, the forest was beginning to be less thicker, the trees and vegetation are more separated. Zefa felt tired from walking for hours as he continues on daylight.
After a while, Zefa saw a structure over the distance, it was a long structure and it was quite tall, presumably a wall. It looks like any other walls from general medieval settings.
Zefa sighed in relief then walks to a closed gate on the long walls, the people that are standing on top of the wall wearing silver armor with swords or spears, or just plain guards, noticed Zefa as some began to inspect him and others walk out of sight for Zefa to see.
The gate opens a little as a middle-aged looking guard steps outside and walks close to Zefa. "Boy. where do you come from?" The guard asked.
Zefa then realized he doesn't know what to answer the guard with, he couldn't just say "I created this world, just let me in." since he was powerless and he also can't say "I came from another world from a portal.". Zefa's mouth open and closed again as he couldn't find a good reply to the question.
"Did you came from a portal?" The guard asked from a serious to a more casual tone, surprising Zefa.
From the guard's view, he was looking at a clueless and nervous boy that didn't know what happened and the boy looks like he didn't know what to do after finding a town. The guard felt his heart softened as he decided to act friendly to the boy.
The guard saw Zefa's surprised face then he learn it was the truth. "So you are that kind of people."
"That kind of people?" Zefa asked finally replying to the guard as he was curious.
"Oh yes, people would randomly come from different points in the world outside of populated areas, all of them said they came from the realm known as the internet, and they came here from a portal." The guard said explaining to Zefa.
"Interesting, so the world doesn't just get monsters from the internet but also people." Zefa thought in his mind as he finds something interesting from his world.
The guard saw that Zefa was thinking with slight excitement as he smiles at his reaction. "Let's talk inside, come." The guard said going back to the gate.
Zefa follows the guard as he enters the what looks like a town, the town looks like any other typical medieval town but Zefa knew it has something more to it as it was influenced by the internet and the people that came from it.
"Welcome to Somnium." The guard said looking back at Zefa while walking.
They then walk to what looks like a guardhouse as Zefa was sent to a room where it was supposed to be used as an interrogation room. The guard that accompanies Zefa walks into the room some times later.
"People that came from the internet are usually adults, you were the first children to come from it." The guard said looking at Zefa.
"Yeah about that, I don't know what happened to my body." Zefa thought in his mind as his current body was younger than his past one.
"People that came from the internet are also immediately sent to the main kingdom as they brought information with them, they will live there while supporting the kingdom. But since you are a kid that looks like you don't know anything you will just live here in this town, don't worry you will still get some support as you are still someone that came from that realm." The guard said.
"Do you want to get adopted or do you want to go straight to school?" The guard asked, a boy like him can't really support his own life the guard thought
"I want to go to school." Zefa answered immediately as he doesn't want to get into a weird medieval family.
"Well then, what's your name, boy?" The guard asked.
"Zefa, just Zefa." Zefa said using the name the system gave.
The guard took out a paper and start to write something on it. "Zefa, hmm around 15 years old, came from the cyberspace... in Somnium..." The guard muttered while writing.
"Okay, follow me, I will guide you to your new school." The guard said exiting the room.
Zefa then followed the guard as they exit the room then the building, as Zefa was walking to the school, he took another time to inspect the town. The buildings were made of wood and stones but the architecture and the design of the buildings were more advanced.
The people from the internet that came before Zefa have probably given these citizens knowledge over certain things, their architecture isn't really the only thing that is more advanced, maybe other things will be too. Zefa thought.
"That big building over there is your school. I'm going to leave you here, goodluck on this new world, kid." The guard said pointing at a big building.
"Thank you, sir." Zefa said, he does appreciate the guard for helping him.
Zefa then walks to the gate of the building as he thought what education a world like this would give, what would happen when a medieval world know about the internet, and what do they think of it.
"This will be interesting." Zefa muttered looking at the building.
