"Enough of me, let me tend to your wounds." Said Rosa.
"Oh, they are nothing." Said Thorzen.
"Let me heal you. It's my job." Said Rosa.
Thorzen lies down and lets Rosa heal him.
"What's your name?" Asked Rosa.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Thor... well, it's complicated, " Ray said.
"Complicated? You don't know your name?" Asked Rosa.
"Well, I'm not exactly an orc." Said Thorzen.
Rosa looks at Thorzen questionably.
"Can I ask you something, Rosa?" Asked Ray.
"Yes, you may." Said Rosa.
"Do you want to get away from here? This village of orcs." Asked Thorzen.
Rosa pauses, lowers her head, and starts crying.
Thorzen waits silently for Rosa to answer.
"I want to leave this place. I don't know if any of my former adventurer friends are still alive, " Rosa said.
"If you want, I could take you from here. But like I said, it's complicated. Can I trust you, Rosa?" Thorzen asked.
Rosa lifts her head and looks at Thorzen. "Yes, if you can get me out of here, I'll be indebted to you, and you will have my loyalty, " she says.
System notification: system quest.
Quest: save the human Rosa Lightbringer from the orc village—rewards upon completion: 5000 XP, 20 attribute points, 100 skill points, 1000 gold coins.
"A system quest is nice." Thought Ray.
Thorzen stands up. "My real name is Thorzen. I'm not an orc." Said Thorzen. Thorzen takes a step back and changes into his Changeling form.
Rosa's eyes open wide. "What are you, Thorzen?" Asked Rosa.
"I'm a Changeling; this is my true form, " said Thorzen. Thorzen transformed into a kobold, a goblin, a troglodyte, a purple poison Lizard, and an orc.
"If you choose to go with me, you must be patient. I must finish my objectives in this village, " said Thorzen.
Rosa nods her head. "Thorzen, take me with you when you finish your objectives, " she says.
"OK, you wait here. I must go see the chief, " said Thorzen.
Thorzen exits the infirmary. He starts to walk towards the center of the village. He sees someone coming towards him, an orc. He recognizes the orc as Torax.
Torax waves Thorzen over. As they get closer, Torax tells Thorzen that the chief wants to see him. "Follow me, Torac, " said Torax. Thorzen nods.
Thorzen and Torax enter the chief's longhouse. The ten orcs can be seen talking to the chief inside the longhouse. The chief sits on a large wooden chair adorned with skulls from humans and other Demihumans. The chief is broad and muscular. He has a large Great Axe leaning against his chair. Standing next to the chief is an older orc with grayish skin and white hair. The older orc is holding a wooden staff adorned with feathers.
"Chief, I brought Torac." Said Torax.
"Very good, Torax. Go back to your duties, " the chief said.
"Yes, chief." Said Torax. Torax nods his head and turns to leave the longhouse.
"Tormac has been telling me that you escaped capture from some troglodytes, " said the chief. The chief stared at Thorzen, and everyone turned and stared at Thorzen.
"Yes, chief. I would have been eaten if it weren't for a Minotaur attacking the troglodytes' base. When they got distracted by the attack, I overpowered the troglodyte they left to guard me. I took its sword and fought my way out. I avoided the Minotaur as the troglodytes were attacking it. I managed to kill five troglodytes on my way out of the cave. Said Thorzen.
"Very good Torac. It's a shame we lost four orc warriors. We discussed a raid on the troglodytes' base before you visited Torac. What do you think, Torac?" Said the chief.
"Chief, there were around thirty troglodytes when we first got captured. I killed five, and who knows how many the Minotaur killed. We could destroy the troglodytes with Tormac, the others here, and maybe Torax." Said Thorzen.
"Twelve orc warriors against twenty or so troglodytes. Hmm, what do you think, Tormac?" Asked the chief.
"I think twelve will be enough. We will get revenge on them, damn troglodytes!" Said Tormac.
"Yeah! Revenge!! Kill the troglodytes!!" Yelled the other orcs.
The elder orc yells. "Quite you fools! We must not take the troglodytes lightly! You must use your heads when fighting them. Don't slack off!!"
"Yes, elder!" Yelled the orcs.
"Tormac, you and Torac will lead these nine, and Torax will destroy the troglodytes' base. You leave as soon as you are ready." Said the chief.
"Yes, chief." Said Tormac. All the orcs bow their heads.
The group of orcs leaves the chief's longhouse.
"Torac, you'll need a weapon." Said Tormac.
"Yes, I lost the sword I took from that troglodyte." Said Thorzen.
"Go to the gate and tell Torax he's coming with us to get you a weapon from the armory. We will meet at the gate." Said Tormac.
Thorzen heads to the gate. He sees Torax and the other orc standing guard.
"Torax, you are going with us on the troglodyte raid. I need a new weapon from the armory. Tormac said to ask you to get a new weapon for me." Said Thorzen.
"Okay, wait here, and I'll go to the armory, " said Torax. Torax headed to the armory.
While Thorzen waits, he speaks to Prime. "Prime you, Zak, and the others to move a mile from your location and set the ambush up. I'm gonna be heading towards you guys soon. There will be 11 other orcs with me. We are going to kill ten of them. I'll signal by saying, What are you doing, Torax. Then start the ambush. You should be able to see us in about thirty minutes or so. Got that Prime?" Said Thorzen.
"Yes, Thorzen, I understand." Said Prime. (Telepathy).
Torax is the first to show up at the gate.
"Torac, I got you twin blades. I remember you saying that you preferred to duel-wield, " said Torax.
"Haha, that's right, I do!" Said Thorzen. Thorzen looked amazed.
"Don't look so surprised, brother." Said Torax.
"Brother? That's why I feel a connection between Torac and Torax." Thought Thorzen.
"Ok. Everyone ready?" Said Tormac.
Thorzen and Torax turn to look at the speaker. It's Tormac and the others.
"Yes, we are ready, Tormac." Said Thorzen.
Tormac tosses a bag at Torax. "Something to eat for our journey." Said Tormac.
The twelve orcs leave the village.
"Prime, we are leaving the village now. We will be there soon. Is everything ready?" Thorzen asked (Telepathy).
"Yes, Thorzen." Replied to Prime. (Telepathy).
