Anna woke up very early today, and so did Lu Li.
The sunlight hadn't risen above the roof yet. Lu Li sat with his back to the window, quietly listening to the sounds of Anna busily tidying up outside the door.
Anna had specially taken a day off for today's camping. Before the sunlight touched the curtains, she gently pushed open the bedroom door.
"It's cloudy today, it's cold outside, wear more before going out."
Anna pulled open the curtains and took out a faded old sweater from the wardrobe to help Lu Li put it on.
The collar slipped over his head and onto his neck, causing his black hair to fluff up from the friction with the wool. Anna laughed and smoothed down the raised hair with her hand.
Breakfast was some leftover oatmeal from yesterday. Anna reheated it and boiled an egg. Lu Li lightly swung his legs as he sat in the chair, watching Anna bustling about from behind.
