The sleepy-eyed boy opened his eyes.
He saw the clouds on the ceiling, felt the warm sunlight on the bed, and heard cheerful footsteps approaching the door.
The door was gently pushed open, and a girl with an apron walked into the room.
"Time to get up, Lu Li."
She walked around the bed to the window and reached out to open the curtains.
Lu Li, now awake, sat up, the thin quilt and the teddy bear in his arms slipping down. The morning light shone on his thin body, and he hurriedly covered himself before the girl by the window turned around.
"Today is the day to go to Percy's house, no staying in bed," the girl said helplessly as she turned back.
Lu Li tugged at the blanket: "I'm not dressed."
The girl took a shirt from the closet and returned to Lu Li, who was holding the thin quilt and staring at her: "It rained last night, it's a bit chilly outside, put on your undershirt."
She lifted the quilt and put the shirt over Lu Li's head.
