Richard observed as Gao Wen spoke firmly, informing the server of his unchangeable order.
"But... the main course..." The server hesitated, still hoping to convince Gao Wen to try other dishes.
"No need." Gao Wen stared at the server, emphasizing with his words.
"Alright—then." The server, under Gao Wen's displeased gaze, reluctantly abandoned his attempt to recommend dishes, shrugging as he said, "Then, please find a seat, and I'll bring it to you as soon as the kitchen finishes preparing it."
"Hmm. The sooner, the better," Gao Wen said, leaving these words as he turned away from the bar. He squinted, scanning the hall, and selected a favored spot, ultimately settling his gaze on a corner away from the center, not too far from Richard.
Once decided, Gao Wen walked over and sat down, his face cold, arms crossed on the table, exuding a "do not disturb" aura as he silently waited.
