When a violent storm tore through the Nimbra Ruins, an entire settlement was wiped from existence. Kael alone survived. Now an orphan burdened by trauma, Kael wanders a world that fears the storms it no longer understands. His Tempest Will attribute, Stormweave, grants him control over wind and lightning—but each use fractures his senses and threatens to consume him. Among the ruins of his past, Kael discovers Raiven, a mysterious weapon that resonates with his power. As enemies tied to the Rift begin to move and forgotten truths stir beneath the surface, Kael is forced into a fight for survival—long before he ever learns why he lived when everyone else died. This is not a story of heroes or destiny. It is the story of what remains after the storm.

Chapter 1 - Chap 1

"clang!" the heavy sound of a hammer slamming on a red hot iron across the forgery before the fizzling sound of the red iron been dipped in water was heard before it died down. Kael Omari had just finished making his first sword

"Wohoo!" He celebrated as he stared at his brand new sword In astonishment. He then handed it over to his boss, a dwarven blacksmith- Reyner Flinged

"Hmmm…" Reyner studied the sword before suddenly breaking it with his palm

"Oi, Reyner!" Kael screamed before falling in his knees trying to assemble his now broken sword back miraculously

"Too Fragile" Reyner said before returning to the metal he was smelting. Reyner was a 4'7 dwarf who had very big noticeable muscles as a result of years of forgery and blacksmithing. His face was dirtied with the residue from what he smelted. He was bare chested while covering up his lower regions with a cloth resembling a skirt. He had a very angry face which often made people scared of him.

Kael had been working as an apprentice for Reyner for the past 4 months and he had developed a very close relationship despite Reyner's demeanor.

"When will I create a perfect sword, I've been trying for the past 3 days now" Kael sighed

"Nothing is perfect, only hard work and consistency makes near-perfect" replied Reyner

" Not the motivation I wanted, Reyner " Kael replied

Reyner gave no response. Kael looked out the windows of the forgery and found out it was sunset. "Looks like I will be going Reyner " Kael told Reyner as he prepared himself to leave." Have a nice day kid " Reyner replied without taking his eyes off what he was smelting.

Kael dusted the grim off his face and body before grabbing a rubber band to tie up his long hair which was scattered across his face. He picked up his backpack before heading out. He stopped by a florist to purchase some roses for his aunt. As he walked through the streets which was populated with a mixed of different races: Elves, Dwarfs, Giants, Nephilims,Orcs, dragons, Humans and Lizard men, which was one of the few places in which all races where allowed in the world of Eryndor. Kael noticed some kids were playing together with their attributes.

The Tempest will was a mythical but at the same time dangerous power system in which it chose most of its wielders. It granted insane buffs, the likes of super strength, Adaptability and many others depending on the wielder but what made the Tempest will so incredible was its diversity. It granted different attributes to different wielders such as ice, wind, fire, shadow, invisibility and many others. Not all attributes wear attack oriented, some were based to grant buffs, some for healing and some for defense but with great power came responsibility. The flaw system was forcefully installed alongside the tempest will. In some cases their flaws were minimal but in some their flaws were very drastic. Kael was 16 and was yet to awaken his tempest will, it was totally normal because some did not awaken at all. After walking for 15minutes he reached his house. He entered the house taking off his sandals which were stained in mud.

"You're just in time for dinner, honey" Erina said.

"Evening Aunt" Kael replied. Soon he was munching on his aunt's fabulous cooking

"I thought I said you didn't like my cooking, look at the way you're gobbling it up" Erina paused eating before questioning Kael.

"Hmph" Kael scoffed not replying aunt Erina but kept eating. Kael quickly stopped eating and handed over the bouquet of flowers to his aunt. "Happy birthday Aunt, I almost forgot to give you these" Kael smiled as he handed her the flowers.

"Awww"Erina replied before accepting the flowers. "Thank you so much Kael" Erina continued, After eating Kael had done the dishes. The crimson blood meteor shower were happening today and fireworks had already began to cackle in the sky meaning shower had begun. Kael and Erina climbed up the stairs leading to the balcony, they reached the balcony and sat up a tap in which they say on.

"It's beautiful isn't it" Kael asked as he stared at the sky.

"Yes it is" Erina replied. Erina was half elf half human hybrid, her full name was Erina Brudelswitch which she got from her late husband, Markus Brudelswitch who died of an illness.

"Kael promise me one thing' Erina said

"What is it, Aunt "Kael said

"Promise me you'll stay away from the storm" Erina continued. Kael was confused but didn't ask why so as not to ruin the occasion but replied" I promise Aunt"

Suddenly the sky that was dimly lit up by the meteors went dark, the stars disappeared alongside the meteors that was present in the sky, the air went still, time started to feel slow , gravity was acting up. As Kael and Erina were already 3 meters of the ground floating.
