Zyron's Pov
"Please don't go."
I was so desperate, my voice breaking. I grabbed her arm harder with my hand, that was shaking with fear, that if I unhanded her, she would vanish from me once more.
But she turned downwardly, her arm suddenly and painfully separate, and went without a look at me.
"Trix!" I yelled, wiping my breath off my throat, but she still kept going.
Xavier's voice, calm and firm, made its way to me from behind:
"Run after her, Zyron. Use this opportunity instead of letting it go."
I thrust my guitar into his hands and chased her, my feet sinking into the sand. My pulse was like a kick drum right in my ear, much louder than the waves breaking on the beach. And then—I recognized her.
