Chapter 154 - Chapter 153 Sit back

"Avalon"

She moved to the sound of her hand moving looking for who said her name, she felt a burning heat at her fingertips, Avalon opened one of her eyes seeing a hand reaching out to her, her eyes widen as she sat up looking at Sandel. Breathing harshly clenching her chest, Avalon let out,

"S…Sandel what are you waking me up for? It's only six in the morning,"

Sandel moved softly, treading up her arm. "There's been a surprise meeting on Bal that you need to listen to, but... not participate in "

Avalon stared at her confused letting out a huff as she gets up, her body ached not agreeing with what she's doing, Avalon stood up from the bed and Sandel finished climbing up her arm sitting comfortably on Avalon's shoulder,

"What do you mean I can't participate?"

Avalon stretched her tattoos glowed softly in the sunlight, Sandel peered at it while answering Avalon's question, "Because not just the day before you fought those angels your body and mind have not yet recovered"

"I know that my body is telling me what you're saying, but Sandel, who else can deal with these angels?"

Avalon went to her bag, grabbed a tank top and pants, and she threw them on the bed,

"Damien is injured Ally and Coille are just like me healed but not ready the only ones that are ready for the next oath would be Luke, Jacob and Liz but even they aren't prepared for what these angels are,"

Avalon spoke not of anger or contempt but of exhaustion of the constant fight she had to help pull through, to protect them without think of herself, Avalon thought feeling Sandels flame moved to behind her neck, hugging her. Her calming heat seeped into her skin. Avalon looked at Sandel, seeing her covering her shoulders and neck,

"I...Avalon i understand the circumstances, you're stretching yourself so thine dear, we dont want you to hurt yourself any farther, So please Avalon just listen this time no planing or investigating,

Avalon looked at her once confused and hardened exasperation, softened, and her body relaxed. Hearing Sandel worried about her this way made her think about what she had said. She has been trying to stop them since she woke up again since she made it back to earth. Shes been fighting them, planning their next move, all the while trying to figure out where she appeared since that clash.

"Sandel,"

Sandel looked at Avalon from her neck hearing the tired tone from her made her think Avalon would heed her warning, maybe her stubbornness for once she chose against it, but that tone utterly drained, Sandel held her close as Avalon finished her sentence,

"I will listen to the meeting, Sandel. i know you're right. I will be there only to listen, but i don't know if i can let them do this without me,"

Avalon looked over her trebling body she tried to stop, Sandel moved away from her neck onto her arm heading towards the bed as she lets Avalon get changed, Sandel moved flickering on the bed, she felt something unsettling as she observed Avalon, it tingled up her soul like a insect trying to find its prey its odd but she remembers it not fondly but dread, the time that the predator was looming over the unsuspecting prey It's what it felt to her,

"What time do i have Sandel?"

Sandel only flickered, looking at her before her flame turned to the clock, "Its only seven thirty we have some time Avalon,"

Sandel turned back to Avalon seeing her done putting on her boots as she stared at Sandel with a tired frown, she offered her hand to climb onto, Sandel inched closer to her hand as she whispered to herself,

"He felt near that day this feeling reminds me of him,"

 "Sandel, i didn't hear you,"

Sandel crawled up her arm, the warmth seeping into her arm up to her shoulder, Sandel cradled her neck like a warm greeting in a cold winter morn. Avalon watched her fire cradle her neck as she pulled her bag onto her shoulder,

"Then are we on time or late? or should we leave them to talk about the logistics before we listen,"

"You never liked listing to the logistics, have you, Avalon?"

"It's right having to listen to it half the time. I felt like im in some sort of old cartoon hearing the parents from the other room chatter,"

"I guess you're right, but you know it is needed,"

"I'm aware, but that's just a small part of the of my job but somehow the one that fills me with most dread, having to be so linguistic and stern...i can be that but its frighting,"

Avalon and Sandel laughed with one and other, their laughter bounced off the wall, when they stopped they heard a group of small voice bouncing off the empty walls, Avalon looked around she must have fallen asleep in a hospital room not her house, she glanced at Sandel while walking to the sound of voices,

"Damien took me here, right? After i got on the bed, i was out like a light?"

"Yes, Avalon, that what happened, we were just glad you went to sleep before he lifted. You are known to sneak out to cheek on him and other things, Avalon,"

"I see i have you as my watchful eye and worrying voice, Sandel. im glad for that most days,"

"What of the other days when you're stubborn and head strong ramming through any built-up wall in your path?"

Avalon felt a smirk on her lips peering over her shoulder at Sandel, her flame glowing in the dimly while she walked throught the hallway, the voices became louder as the sounded more urgent and sireouse that Avalon could make out what they are saying,

"We already tried to stop them before these gang members there changed they aren't human anymore,"

"Ally, what do you mean by that some are still his man?"

"They are, but some would say they've been blessed by the angels. that is what they have been telling us,"

"Blessed? The angel have been spreading their power around making it harder for us to capture them,"

"Even with that. Its there most trusted adviser there, hands, they get the powers, for a moment,"

Avalon heard it from the door seeing from the glass its says Salvatore's name with the caption ceo of Shepered, Avalon watched the shadows through the window, one was pacing around there chair as the pointed at the middle of a hastily put up table, while the other shadow talking with her, he sat in his chair his hand motioning to the map,

"They seem to have been talking without us, Sandel,"

Sandel hummed observing Avalon reaching over knocking on the door, They walked in see Ally, Salvatore and Damien talking with Liz, Jacob and Luke, they sat around the table with some new faces Avalon hasn't seen before, some waved at her as she nods, Salvatore noticed her with a small grin he tells her,

"Avalon, nice to see you up this early. Take a seat or stand, but you can only listen and relax by the order of your angel,"

"I figure i would be sent on an ordered vacation because im so good at my work,"

"More like good at getting yourself in trouble, but like always, just go with it for now,"

Damien looked at Ally as she said that "Like you're any better, you're her chaos to her trouble."

Ally gave his a side glare as she looked back at Avalon, pointing at the chair at the end,

"Alright, this isn't going to be easy for you to just sit there and listen, not wanting to help in any sort of way. I think you can handle that?"

Avalon huffed, looking at the chair as she peered back at Ally, "I guess i will sit down for a bit,"

Avalon walked to the chair as the conversation continued when this sentence hit Avalon ears

"Sandel had a proposition... listen to it before going against it,"

Salvatore looked around the room with a clear and stern stare. "To let Bal and Blake have their oath,"

Avalon stopped midway from her chair as Sandel cradled her neck, almost like a reassuring hug,

Avalon looked at Sandel, muttering, "You want Blake to finish his deals? Why?"

Sandel moved her flame slightly to Avalon shoulder so she can stare at her friend, she whispered softly so they wouldn't interrupt Salvatore talking with a heated Ally, her stark voice bounced through the walls along with Salvatore understanding but stricken tone,

"He already has all but one Avalon, and if he finished it, he must have his end of the deal. You know the punishment if he doesn't complete his,"

"He has the territory, but he's letting them watch over it,"

"Yes, but they have the moment his acknowledge and constant communication with each other. They are tied together not tightly but enough to overwhelm us,"

Avalon sat in her chair with Sandel cradel around her shoulders, Avalon observed the table talking, planning leisting to them,
