Chapter 18 - Names?

"No, Sebastian. We cant ask for their help right now." Abbadon said, irritated.

Sebastian didn't waver. "But sir, surel-"

"No." Abbadon said coldly.

"We-"

Abbadon glared at him.

Sebastian did a curt nod. "Forgive me, sir. I overstepped."

Abbadon hummed in annoyance.

Helix was above Abbadon and Sebastian, still in his ghost form. He knew they couldn't see him, but just in case.

Abbadon pulled out the Electro-Pad with the arm drawn on it. He gave it Sebastian. "Make sure you deliver this to its owner." Abbadon said in disgust. "Tell her I don't want to see it ever again."

Sebastian nodded again. "Yes sir." He then left the room.

Helix was about to follow him but, looked down at Abbadon. He had only met him a few times, but had always left a bitter feeling after he'd leave. He couldn't believe this guy was Kira's dad. Abbadon was evil.

Helix looked away from him and flew back through the wall he had come from. Since he wasted his time staring at Abbadon, he lost Sebastian and the Electro-Pad along with it.

'No problem.' Helix thought. 'I can just do this.' He closed his eyes.

He thought about Sebastian and whispered, "[Invenient Sebastian-Phase 1. Enhance]. He opened his eyes wide and pierced through walls, doors, and windows. Helix found him in one of he elevators, heading downwards.

'Found you.'

Helix raced through the walls and hurried to the elevators. He flew into the floor and down a level. He checked this level and saw Sebastian walking down the hallway. Helix was about to snatch the Pad, when suddenly his bracelet started vibrating.

~Authorization Limit Up~ it said

'Damn it. I didn't even get to use a quarter of my power.'

Helix flew into the shadows at the same time his bracelet tightened. A static shock was sent into his body, but Helix bit back any noise.

"Release all." Helix whispered after the shock passed. Helix floated down and became more transparent until he was fully visible. Then he once again whispered, "{Perit. Enhance}." He went invisible.

He looked to Sebastian who turned into another hallway. Helix looked around, and followed him. They walked until they reached a door that was a pale blue without a handle. Helix walked a little ways behind him and watched silently.

Sebastian knocked on the door.

"Yeah, yeah I'm coming." Said a feminine voice from behind the door. A second later, the door slides open and a woman with blazing red hair, thin wireframe glasses, black shorts and a blue cotton shirt appeared. Around her neck was a thin piece of string with a key dangling on it. Behind her was a brightly lit room.

"Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Said the woman as she leaned an arm against the door.

"Sorry for the intrusion, Mrs. Rul. Master Abbadon wanted me give this back to you." Sebastian said, and held the Pad out.

She snatched it out of his hand and threw it into the room. It made a loud 'CLACK' against the floor. "Could the old guy not handle it?" She smirked.

"Please don't call him that. Now, if you'll excuse me." Sebastian turned to leave and Helix backed up against the wall to let him pass.

Mrs. Rul caught his arm. "Wait, Wait. Uh, I was wondering if you'd...like to go on a date later?"

"No." He said bluntly.

"What, why?" She asked.

"Not interested."

"But-"

"Not my type."

"I-"

"You're married."

She frowned. "We were getting a divorce anyways."

Sebastian sighed. "I must go now Mrs. Rul." He lightly shrugged her hand off. "Goodbye." He turned around and walked past Helix.

After Sebastian walked far away, Helix walked to the door.

The lady-or Mrs. Rul- was still there, looking defeated. Helix slipped past her and inside the room.

The room was empty and had white walls, white floors and a white ceiling. There were desks and Holo-tables all around the room. In the middle of the room stood a beautiful 3-tiered marble fountain with a little winding dragon.

'I guess this is the Fountain Room.' Helix thought as he looked at the fountain. He spotted the Pad and its papers still in its folder. He started to walk towards it.

The door slides closed and Mrs. Rul walks to the file and picks it up. "I guess he's done with this. Better put it away." She walked behind one of the desks against the left wall. She removed the string from around her neck and used the key to open the locked drawer in her desk.

Helix watched as she stuck the Pad in the drawer and then locked it. She then walked around and sat on the edge of the fountain, taking a look at the Holo-screen on her bracelet.

'A Holo-bracelet.' Helix thought curiously. 'Is she apart of the Gen A Army?' He put that thought in the back of his head and thought of a plan to get the Pad.

'What should I do?' He pondered. After a few seconds of thought, he stuck out his hands and whispered, "{Luxta Somnum.} Diminish."

Mrs. Rul looked up to the small whisper she had heard, before crumpling in a pile to the floor. Helix walked to the unconscious body and took the key from around her neck. He walked to the desk, unlocked the drawer, and pulled out the Electric-Pad.

'I think I'll just take this.' Helix thought as he tucked the Pad under his arm.

He was halfway to the door before he stopped and turned around and walked back to Mrs. Rul.

Helix laid the key down next to her head as he propped her up against the fountain ledge.

'I think I have something good-but I have one more place to explore.'

Helix walked out of the door and down the log hall to the elevator. Once he stepped inside, he looked toward the button panel to go to the last floor-but there was no button.

'Huh?' Helix thought. 'How do I go down?' He looked around the space in search of a hidden button or something. His eyes landed on a small slot in the corner of elevator. He looked at it more closely and realized an ID was supposed to be put into it.

He took out the ID he got from that random guy. 'Is he even allowed to be down here?' Helix thought skeptically. He then shrugged his shoulders and slid the ID into the slot.

After a second or two he heard a 'DING' and a space beside the slot slid open: revealing a button that had 'ground floor' labeled under it.

He pressed the button and the elevator descended. Helix stood there, waiting to reach the bottom. When he had pierced through the walls in the beginning-he saw no one down there. But there is a flaw with his sight.

'I can't see dead bodies.' Helix thought. 'I don't know why, but my eyes completely gloss over them.'

'So, based off of what I saw before-there's definitely going to be some dead people.'

The elevator stopped moving and soon the doors opened into a dark, musty room with stone for the floor, walls and ceiling. He walked further into the room and looked around more. There were three hallways, each one darker and less inviting then the one before it. Nevertheless, he choose the middle hallway and made his way down. As he walked, he heard the little squeaks of rats and the scuttles of roaches. The place stunk of rotting flesh and rat feces.

'Man, Serenity would hate this place.' Helix thought as he dodged a roach. After a few minutes of walking, he passed by a dark room with steel bars. He peered inside and kept walking when he saw nothing.

A few more steps ahead was another cell this time with someone in it.

'Did I miss someone in my search?' Helix wondered.

He took a closer look and his eyebrows furrowed in disgust.

Inside was a body which was hanging limply.

'Ugh, who would do such a thing.'

He turned his head away before he vomited. He kept walking down the path, passing other cells with bodies, and came to small room.

On the walls were papers with names on them. Some of the names were crossed out, others weren't. He glanced at each paper-his eyes landing on one particular one.

'Reaper...Black-out...Dark Kni-wait I know these names.' Helix snatched the paper of the wall and looked closer at it.

'If this is what I think it is....' He shook his head and stuffed the paper in his pocket. Helix looked around. A smelly, dark room greeted his senses.

'I think its time to go home.'
