It was dangerous, but that region was an environmental hazard rather than a conscious entity. And Noah would rather take his chances with an environment that could kill him than face an entity that definitely would kill him.
The region appeared before him with horrifying clarity. It looked like fundamentally distorted space and existence that was actively twisting and systematically mutilating any Civilizational Authority that came near its influence.
There were a few narrow channels visible here and there that appeared as obsidian rivers cutting through the chaos. These pathways held a semblance of stability and safety.
But if one's trajectory veered off by even an atom's worth of distance to one side or another from these safe channels, they would immediately enter the mutilated and distorted regions of existence surrounding the paths.
