Shi Aoju bent down, cold-faced, snatching the hard object from her hand and giving the fish head a knock. After a few bubbles, the fish stopped moving.
"Impressive!" Su Jiuyi praised from the side, "Killing fish without blinking."
Shi Aoju tossed the hard object aside, leisurely saying, "I usually don't blink when I kill people either."
Seeing Su Jiuyi's surprised expression, he chuckled lightly, turned around, and left with large strides.
Enduring the fishy smell to clean the whole fish, Su Jiuyi felt overly guilty. But later she thought, after all, the fish was killed by someone else and eaten by them too. She was just a hired cook, and this made her feel much better.
She washed her hands in the bathroom over ten times with hand soap, making sure there was no fishy smell. Then Su Jiuyi went upstairs, running to the study outside where Shi Aoju worked.
