Sitting atop the Stone Gate, Aika swung her legs and hummed a cheerful tune.
So happy.
Even though in front of her was just a desolate wasteland, with nothing around, Aika could still feel very happy.
No, it wasn't just happiness.
Uneasiness, tension, anxiety, fear—after coming into this world, Aika tasted a variety of emotions. She was like a doll, gradually being filled with various feelings. These were things Aika had never experienced before, because she simply couldn't. Whether it was the joy of success, the depression of failure, the surprise and tension of making mistakes, none of these had any connection to the girl. For her, the future she expected was reality; whatever she wanted to do would come true. Nothing could excite her, nor could anything cause her the slightest ripple of emotions.
Because everything was under her control.
