After dealing with the spider-like constructs, Skraal pressed forward into the dungeon's depths.
The stone corridor grew colder with every step.
A faint mist began to settle near the ground, swirling around his feet.
Ten minutes passed in silence.
Eventually, the path ahead split into two.
Skraal stopped and smiled faintly to himself. "Classic," he murmured. "A fork in the dark."
He looked at both directions.
"In these kind of situation, best course of action is to scan the two pathways for dangers without entering it." he thought.
One path curved slightly to the left, narrow and shadowed.
The other was wider, but the air shimmered oddly around it.
"..."
He closed his eyes, focused, and extended his hand.
"Let's see where they lead."
Calling on his Ghost Origin, Skraal projected thin tendrils of ethereal energy down both corridors, allowing the wisps to scout ahead sensing heat, motion, energy signatures, magical constructs, and any unnatural disturbances.
