"True enough," Oliver said. "We've going to need a hundred of those horses, harnessed and ready to be used, if that's at all possible. We'll need their help ripping down these buildings, and cleaning up the debris before the fire can spread to it."
"And I suppose this is you asking me to go and take care of that?" Greeves asked.
"I can do it," Blackthorn said. "I'll be faster than him, and he's more useful than me here."
Oliver paused a second, before nodding. "If you would, Blackthorn."
"I shall not be long," she said, before dashing off.
"And what do we do while we wait?" Nila asked.
"All we can do. Just continue fighting the fire."
The main limiter in their firefighting efforts, Oliver soon discovered, was the lacking number of wells. There were five of them near enough by the southern wall of fire, but that meant that only five people could pull up a bucket of well water at a time.
