The enemy showcases such amazing teamwork! Vincent narrated in his head to distract himself from the gravity of the situation. To think that they would use one side of the Triangle as bait! Truly brilliant!
BAM! The enemy Pirate propelled himself toward Luke with Backfire Cannon! He got right in the Dark Knight's face and swung his cutlass! The man had absolutely no fear! He was going toe-to-toe with an early-game DK like it was nothing!
Under normal circumstances, this matchup was unwinnable for Pirate. Even without Dark Blast, a Lv. 3 Dark Knight packed a serious punch, especially in Nightmare form.
However, Renegade wasn't alone here. That's why he allowed himself to take such a risk.
"Dang, the balls on this guy!" Luke grinned. "Okay, change of plans! Let's take out this cocky dude first!"
"I concur!" Vincent shifted his focus from StormMonster to Renegade, who was currently the closer and squishier target at hand.
Have at you! Vincent swung his blazing sword! Alas, the flames cut through empty air. Likewise, Luke also unleashed his dark blade at about the same time, and he whiffed as well.
It was a magnificent display. Renegade rolled away just in the nick of time as if he had predicted the assault in advance! He animation-canceled into the Dodge Roll right before the attacks came flying at him. Truly, a masterful performance!
"But, you shall not get away!" Vincent proclaimed.
"Yeah, get 'em!" Luke chased the rolling foe. But, just as he stepped forward - WHISH! SLASH! Claws tore him to pieces!
"Wha-!?" Luke gasped. "You little…!"
It was StormMonster, striking Luke's defenseless back! He delivered three successive slashes out of nowhere!
"Go away! Shoo, shoo!" Luke turned around and slashed the beast. This time, his attack connected. However, shortly after he delivered this strike - BAM! A bullet drilled into his back!
"Wha-!?" Luke jumped. "Damn, they're hella targeting me! Vince, who do we even focus on!?"
"I-I'm afraid I don't know!" Vincent shifted his eyes from side to side in confusion. Analysis paralysis decided to pay him a visit at the worst time possible!
And, to make this terrible situation even worse, a tornado appeared around them! "Masaka bakana!" Vincent gasped. As expected from Laplace! He waited for us to get this close together before unleashing his tornado! Marvelous display!
The only thing stopping Vincent from falling into total despair was the hype commentary that flowed naturally in his head. Yes, he and Memer were getting completely obliterated, but at least the enemies were making a bunch of truly inspiring plays!
"Dang, we done goofed!" Luke exclaimed. "Bro, let's roll the hell outta here!"
"I concur! But, in which direction!?"
"Eh… I dunno! Back the way came from? Go go go!"
"Roger!"
They rolled as one in the direction they perceived as safe. Alas, Rengefade was already there to block their escape route. BAM! He drilled another bullet into Luke's black armor.
Luke gritted his teeth. "Dang it! We've gotta get past this guy and-" WHISH! BAM! A huge gust of wind rammed into him! It was Aeormancer's Squall!
"Geh, seriously!?" Luke bit his lip. "They're screwing me over from all sides!"
"K-Kore wa…" Vincent gulped. Such teamplay! Such precision! Before we realized it, we found ourselves firmly locked in the enemy's triangle formation!
The tales of old claimed that none shall return alive once they venture into the deadly Bermuda Triangle. But that wouldn't stop Vincent and Luke from fighting for their lives to the bitter end!
