“You cannot do anything in your life.”
That was what my father said every time he came home drunk.
He wasn’t the kind who beat his family—he didn’t need to. His words alone were enough to break me.
“You are a failure. Look at other children.”
I had done nothing wrong to deserve those words. They were simply routine—something he said to make himself feel better.
Maybe it was the alcohol speaking. Maybe it wasn’t.
Either way, that was how I grew up, with two younger siblings enduring the same silence.
Maybe that was why I became an introvert.
I learned that speaking less meant giving him fewer reasons to get upset with me.
And yet, after shaping me this way, he would ask—
“Why are you so quiet? Why can’t you be like other children?”
Being an introvert wasn’t so bad… until I found acting—or more appropriately—acting found me.
By chance, by luck, or perhaps by fate, I discovered an art that demanded everything I had—confidence, expression, vulnerability.
I had never even stepped onto a stage before. I had to learn from nothing.
All I had was my talent and an intelligent mind. A gift unknown to me was hiding inside.
But as always, I wasn’t allowed to choose.
Every story has a villain. In mine, I couldn’t even defy him.
He wanted a life that brought him reputation and praise—a respectable job, a safe future.
Dreams, in his world, were a luxury I couldn’t afford.
This is the story of a boy silenced by words—
and the actor he was never meant to become.
