Ukraine and Yemen are different, and to Gao Yang, everywhere is different.
Gao Yang came to Ukraine only to make a big score and leave. He couldn't start his own company without money, so he brought Satan to Ukraine just to strike it rich, nothing more.
However, coming to Ukraine was easy, leaving was difficult, because Gao Yang was drawn into the war between Grand Ivan and Djo. Then he was forced to become increasingly involved in the war that had nothing to do with him, until he became a leader of one side, gaining more and more power and money, yet also facing bigger and bigger crises.
The battle with Butter Knife nearly wiped out Satan completely. If it weren't for Gao Yang taking Grand Ivan's place, a mere mercenary group wouldn't have had the qualifications to cross paths with Butter Knife.
