Bloodline testing is indeed not complex. However, it requires the joint arbitration of the ancestors from the Ten Great Sacred Grounds. Jiang Chen simply decided to be more open, allowing these ancestors to witness it together.
The result of the bloodline testing was, unsurprisingly, without any suspense. There was not a hint of the demon tribe's Demonic Qi in Jiang Chen's bloodline, though his ancestry was quite complex but clearly bore no relation to the demon tribe.
As for the captives, they were originally cultivators from the Myriad Abyss Island, many of whom were identifiable. There were no traces of demonic bloodline components found in them either.
