A Buddhist chant echoed behind the fat guy and the monk. The monk who had been silently meditating all this time, finally took action. Truth be told, no degree of trance could have kept him undisturbed at this moment. The massive commotion caused by the sudden apparition of the five-clawed golden dragon's shadow was simply too overwhelming.
Black wisps of ominous energy began emanating from the monk's body, resembling a ghost that had emerged from the underworld. Yet, his aura held the protection of Buddhist teachings — the embodiment of both Buddha and demon intertwined seamlessly within him. From demon into Buddha, and through Buddha, demons were redeemed.
"This look is pretty cool," said the fat guy, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "Never seen a style like this before. Consider me impressed."
