Didi set her sword against the neutral seam while Hajin kept three Rings turning hot beside her shoulder.
Frost crept toward the arch along the unmarked joint, ending right beneath Eirwen's bow where Roen's sword scraped paving clean. Hajin planted his free palm past the command's boundary, ready to catch her when that leap finally came screaming across.
She was still gathering the leap's force when a cabinet screen scraped sideways behind the armor.
Five attendants crawled out of a concealed alcove and headed for the main door, office badges flashing on their chests. The first badge caught a rank before its wearer cleared the screen, and the command swung toward five fresh foundations.
"Oh, you've gotta be shitting me."
Didi jabbed her blade at their mistaken route without lifting her pinned knees off the floor.
"Behind the screen, five more!" she shouted, dragging Roen's attention back through the service opening, "Captain, stay outside and call them toward your door!"
