"..."
Sunnie was reminded of her days of pennilessness in her real world! She thought coming here would make a difference, but she guessed she still had to suffer for it.
"So.. how do I get these coins?"
[Easy!]
[You get coins whenever any of your beast husbands is moved by you or your actions. In short, their fondness of you gives you the coins!]
[Example: If you do something for a beast husband and they're moved, you can get +100 coins or more!]
[The higher the emotions generated by them, the higher the money!]
[Best still, if you make them fall madly in love with you and dote on you, you'll be super rich with coins!!]
[Note; You can also translate these coins into the beastworld stone currency , or just get whatever you need from the premium system store!]
It all sounded like a good deal. A fair one. Except that Sunnie could tell that achieving it would be a hard feat.
She simply sighed as she stared at Luka. Luka was strangely obedient.
He still lay there staring up at her with his suspicious eyes. He was studying her, looking at the Sunnie he didn't really remember!
He couldn't help but wonder if getting drunk could change her this much.
"So how do I get this husband to go with me then, System?" Sunnie inquired.
[System loading...]
[Retrieving information...]
[Success!]
[Luka = Likes a good meal! So you can definitely use that to win him over]
Well, that didn't help much for Sunnie. But she guessed she'd have to make use of it.
She turned and Luka flashed a bright smile.
Her smile was bright and overly enthusiastic, but Luka stared at her in shock.
The real Sunnie he knew never smiled so lively and enthusiastic like this! So he was scared of who this could be!
"Listen. Have you heard about noodles?"
Luka shook his head.
"I'll prepare that for you if you come with me. It's delicious!" Sunnie took her time detailing how noodles looked and tasted.
And when she was done, she could see his mouth watering.
She smiled. "Want it?"
He nodded.
"So come with me"
And that sealed the deal. Luka didn't complain anymore and got up. Sunnie led the way and he followed behind.
Standing next to Sunnie, he was tall and somewhat huge. The beads around his neck and legs rattled as he moved while staring at Sunnie. He was still wondering if she was okay.
Sunnie was relieved it worked. And so she led the way, off to look for the next stubborn husband.
---
Sunnie guessed Luka had a bad sense of direction because he did a terrible job directing the way.
After hours of walking in circles, they finally arrived at the stream.
"He's in there," Luka said, folding his arms and taking a big bite from the apple.
Sunnie stared into the stream. According to Luka, her merman husband was supposed to be in here.
The two of them stood there quietly, staring into the calm stream water. The water was sparkling and neat as it ran. The sound of it running down from the other side was calming to the ears.
It was indeed a beautiful scenery to be around.
"Are you sure he's in there?" Sunnie asked as Luka nodded confidently.
"Yes. He's probably sleeping in there or something," Luka ate from his apple.
"Sleeping?" Sunnie asked. She couldn't help but wonder how him sleeping in the water could cause harm to the people.
Then she recalled from the past host's memory. Her mer husband released some toxins from his body which always ruined the water bodies he stayed in.
And he was probably doing so, which was harming the water for the pigs and other animals.
Sunnie sighed as she walked up to the stream. She bent down and ran her finger through it; his toxins never affected her (the original host) so she guessed she was safe.
She stared into the stream.
That was the first time Sunnie saw her face. Strangely, she still had the same face as she did in the modern time! Only her hair changed with additional elements of rabbit ears, tail, and paws.
At least she didn't need to get used to a new face.
Sunnie sniffed herself again. She still reeked of the awful smell. She didn't think she could move around with it any further, so she decided to take a dip into the water.
The mer man wasn't showing up, so she guessed he had left this river side anyways.
She turned to Luka. "Can you move aside? I want to take a bath here."
Luka stared at her. "Why? We're married so there shouldn't be a problem for me to see you."
"...." Sunnie blinked. She didn't know how to feel about that. It was true after all, but still!
"Well, don't you want the noodles anymore?"
Luka sighed. "Okay. I'll go find you some clothes," he said as he turned and stepped off.
Sunnie was impressed at how understanding he was.
How then were they headaches if Luka was not so bad? Or was he the best of them all?
Well, her memories of the host said enough. Luka was the fairest of them all even though he had times when he'd be a little devil of a troublemaker.
Sunnie sighed as she turned and stepped into the stream water. The chill water running through her skin felt so refreshing, so natural.
She pulled off the animal skin clothes that the host had probably worn for ages now and cast them into the water. And then dipped her naked self into the water, letting the water eat up to her chin while she ran her hands through her skin.
She was enjoying the bath and the way the water felt on her body.
She was enjoying it a bit so much that she didn't notice when someone was crawling out of the stream.
