When the selection process began, Arjun found himself among a group of players who, unlike those in the lane, displayed a level of control and awareness that immediately raised the standard of the game, forcing him to adjust not gradually, but instantly.

The initial drills focused on basics—batting against consistent bowling, fielding under observation, simple exercises that revealed more about a player's foundation than any match situation could, and within these drills, Arjun realized that while his awareness and control gave him an advantage, his lack of exposure to structured play created small gaps that required immediate adaptation.

He did not attempt to dominate.
