Hey, guys! I've finally managed to consume the Lost Legends comic and all in all, I thought it was pretty good. Gravity Falls never fails to miss with their newly released content on the pages. When I finished with it, I thought I would take a crack at rewriting it myself with my own Gravity Falls AU. This story coincides with my main GF story timeline, Lucky Three. If you haven't read it before, you can find it in my profile and the main gist of the whole thing will be explained there in the first chapters AN.
Again, that story was inspired by Cowboy Alchemist's Weirder Things story. Go check that out, it's awesome.
This will be a side project I'll be working on alongside the main story, and since the majority of these short chapters minus the Jersey Devil one, take place after Not What He Seems, it means that Ford will be appearing early in this story depending on if I get it out before that chapter. I'll try to put some Ford and Mason bonding in this when I can.
This chapter will be the prologue so it will be rather short.
I'll also be adding in the short stories from Little Gift Shop of Horrors, besides Hands Off, because I already put that one in Bottomless Pit, and I'm also interested in doing maybe a Rick and Morty crossoversometime.
That's all I have to say
I hope you enjoy.

PLAY MUSIC: GRAVITY FALLS THEME SONG
A time-lapse of the waterfall and a lumberjack statue.
The scene changes to the interior of a bus. The triplets are in one seat asleep as the bus drives on a long stretch of road leading into the town, running beside it are telephone poles and the sky is clouding and gray, adding a mystical feel. A bus carrying our main characters drives down the road and then out of frame. A second later, a Bigfoot looking creature runs across the road to the trees on the other side. The camera pans back just enough to show a yellow sign on one of the trees with an image of the same creature on it.
The scene changes again to the triplets standing outside of the Mystery Shack, looking at it in wonder and confusion. Then, there is a puff of smoke behind them and Stan appears.
Dipper
He is flipping through the journal in the woods, and studying a symbol in a tree, not noticing a singular and familiar eye staring at him through the dark trees.
Mabel
She is seen flirting with a boy. After a bit, the boy takes off his jacket, revealing him to be the gnomes again. Mabel pulls out her grappling hook and fights them off.
Mason
The boy is enthusiastically jumping up and down on his bed in the attic bedroom, with a pig in his arms and a big grin.
Stan
When a tourist is turned around looking at a shirt, Stan takes the opportunity to steal money out of the man's wallet.
Soos
He is eating a chocolate bar and trying to complete a task of fixing a pipe under the sink. The pipe suddenly bursts, spraying water everywhere and all over him.
Wendy
She is seen cutting down a tree with her family. They manage to succeed but the tree falls down, nearly missing their house. Wendy shakes her head in exasperation.
Cut to the Mystery Shack crew camping out in the middle of the woods. Stan is telling them a story about a monster in the woods. The campfire gives off enough light for us to make out a creature behind them.
Then we cut to a small camp lake at sunset. There is only one wooden pier with several canoes tied to it. Towards the treeline shore of the lake, there are children playing in the water, splashing each other and jumping into the water off the pier. However further down, a hump appears out of the water, and the faint outline of flippers can be seen under the waves, then the hump disappears under the water leaving behind onlyripples. It goes unnoticed by the children.
Another cut shows Mystery Shack property at night. Cicadas and crickets are singing, there is a nice cool breeze, and all is calm and peaceful. The top window at the front of the shack is lit up. Then a low growl echoes through the air. There is something in the woods. An owl hoots somewhere in the dark trees.
Then, the three Pines kids are in their attic bedroom laying around, when they and objects around them mysteriously begin to float in the air. Dipper is the only one to notice it.
The scene cuts to a bulletin board with pictures of Stan over the years. The board is labeled with "Can't be trusted" and "Who is he"
Cut to the title screen.

Lucky Three: Lost Legends:
Prologue

Hidden 'neath the dappled beams of honey-colored sunlight, betwixt the blackberry brambles and the brook's eerie song, legends whisper of a world unseen by the human eye except for those few lucky enough to witness it. Although those witnesses were never able to speak of their tale to another soul, as they were apprehended by what they thought were authority figuresin red robes, who wiped the individual's mind of who they once were, and left them an oblivious shell of their former self.
That world was…the gnomes.
The gnome society functioned like it did as humanity, a civilization built over the course of thousands of years of evolution in their species. They'd gone from being rabid little creatures known as their ancestors, to now mostly tame little creatures established in the magical part of Gravity Falls's forest. They had a surprisingly complex society, with even a court system with an owl judge and squirrel riding cops. They also appeared to have an idea of unity and order. Not only this, but the little humanoid can communicate with the woodland animals and possessed their own language.
Least among these creatures is Shmebulock, a gnome they say is so stupid that he can only speak his own accursed name. He was a wall-eyed gnome who wears a pointy light red hat, and a blue shirt. The tiny humanoid also has a shaggy gray beard, mustache, buck teeth, and crooked gray eyebrows. Changing to a different scene, the gnome sat on a tree branch with a frown rock while being pelted with pinecones by his peers, who laughed and pointed at him.
But, there is more to this poor soul than meets the eye, and I would know…
"For I am Shmebulock!" The gnome said, now wearing a wizard-like robe and walking down a spiral staircase around a tree of great significance, the tree that stored the archives of the gnome's history and knowledge. "Greetings, curious traveler! Although I was cursed by that dark wretched warlock eons ago to only speak my own name, once every thousand years I am gifted by moonlight to speak the tongue of man. And tonight, is thatnight!"
He walked into the archive, there widows towering shelves of books along with a window in the bark that the night sky could be seen on the other side. Next to it was a telescope and a mushroom, while continuing to speak. "While I am shunned by gnome society for my regretful curse, I make the most of my exile by studying the wonderfulunknown secrets of this town."
"Specifically secrets of… the FAMILY PINES." He stopped in front of a board mounted on a wall. On it were photos of each member of the Pines Family currently residing in Gravity Falls, consisting of Dipper, Mabel, Mason, Stanley, and Stanford. Along with it were photos and detailed documents of their summer adventures, including blurry images of Dipper's clones that survived the water massacre, Maison and Lily on their sacred date. Connecting it all was messy red string.
"Throughout their summer, I've followed every one of their adventures and rooted through their trash for,,,evidence." He stated, gesturing to the board.you could say I'm a, 'fan'." The tiny thing then walked over to a chair that looked awfully a lot like Stan's recliner in the living room of the Mystery Shack, only miniature.
Shmebulock patted the cushion and sat down. "And I have opinions I'd like to share. Loose ends I would like to see tied up, certain characters I believe should be with other characters, ROMANTICALLY! I think about it every day and night." He poured himself a glass of some green liquid and stared at the roaring fireplace in front of him, the room silent except for the crackling of the flames and his sipping, almost contemplating until he spoke again. "Oh, how it torments me."
But then he jumped up with enthusiasm. "No matter! This isn't about that. Tonight, my purpose is to bring you lost tales. Forbidden adventures from the past that are yet untold! For your curiosity, I have assembled these various contents here on this table. Shall I say…"
He rested his palms down on a table with numerous books with intriguing titles on it. "Table of contents."
Crickets.
"No, are the cracks not your cup of tea? Don't worry, we can move on straight to the tales." He said before picking up a book named Face it, and sat back on the So prepare yourself my dear viewer, for the stories you're 'bout to be told will make you question everything you know about these lovable individuals. And what better narrative to begin with…Face It!"
Up next: Face It.
