Chapter 1 - Prologue

In the year 2578 humanity achieved total unity under the banner of the Roselle Imperium, leading to a drastic increase in the

speed of advancements in fields such as economics, technology, biology, and even

spirituality. They expanded throughout many star systems, creating warp drives

and teleportation relays, and discovered many species of intelligent and

civilized life throughout the universe. This discovery led to the trade of

ideas and technologies across not only cultural but biographical boundaries as

well.

Within 400 years the most prominent and advanced civilizations, including humanity, came together to form the U.A.I.S. or United

Alliance of Interstellar Systems led by the descendant of the first emperor Roselle. By this point the observable universe had entered an era of total peace and absolute unity. Life spans more than tripled, quality of life increased drastically, food, water, shelter, and energy became free and available to all. Humanity learned from advanced psychic and spiritual species to tap into and cultivate the hidden potential of their bodies and minds, accumulating and passing on stronger abilities to their future generations. Many

less technologically focused species gained the boons advanced human tech could

give them. And many species intermingled and blurred the lines between species.

However, it couldn't last, and prying eyes from other less hospitable regions of the unexplored regions of the universe began

to crave the material resources and lush planets the U.A.I.S. lay claim to. This led to the beginning of the interstellar war, putting the balance of all life on the tides of conflict. Although the U.A.I.S. did eventually prevail, it

came at the cost of much life and most resources. This lead to an increased

focus on developing both the potential of life, and the power of the military. Now all youths, upon reaching the age of mental and biological maturity required by the UAIS faced mandatory conscription into AIM, the Allied Interstellar Military.
