This new girl was really something else. She had me.. intrigued. She was bold and stubborn but somehow she looked kind and powerful too.
I didn't like her. She was annoying. I was just reading into her to.. asses her.. that's it, that's why i must be interested in her. There was nothing else.

I was still thinking about that when the teacher came in. Jay looked bored, and teachers usually targeted people who look like they're about to sleep. Maths, this should be good, I thought to myself. And just like I had thought:
"Miss mariono, answer my question" ma'am cindy said.
Jay stood up, looking utterly bored, as if she could answer all the questions without even trying. I smirked, let's see how she handles this...
"You seem very confident for someone who hasn't written a single note."
"I usually don't need to."
Tss.. this girl is trying to be cool huh? We'll see how she can answer.
"Oh really? Let's see about that. We'll do a few problems." The teacher said.

Beauty and brains huh? This girl was really something.. but it's probably begginers luck, besides, I also knew answers to all these questions. They were easy.

Ma'am cindy slowly put down the chalk.
"Miss Mariono, I've asked you five problems that usually stop an entire class."
"You could try harder ones." She answered, totally poker faced. She didn't even look half smug. Ma'am's eyes crinkled.
"Looks like you have some competition Mr.Watson"
"Her? Please ma'am.. just because she answered a few easy questions, doesn't mean she matches me" I answered, even though I was starting to doubt the same thing.
I looked at her and she just shrugged in response.
