Inside the Alchemist Hall, a young alchemist finished conducting a thorough examination of Ye Fan's body. Before the healer could even speak, Ye Fan anxiously blurted out, "Sir, there's no problem with my manhood, right?"

The young alchemist let out a heavy, dramatic sigh. "Sir, your manhood is..."

"...perfectly fine," the young alchemist finished.

Ye Fan's face darkened, though a massive wave of relief washed over him. "If my manhood is fine," he demanded, "then why the hell did you sigh like that when you checked me?"

The young alchemist looked genuinely crestfallen. "I thought I was about to become the first alchemist in history to turn a Heavenly Pride into a eunuch. I was highly motivated to perform the castration! But after checking your body, I realized it wasn't necessary, so I was just a bit disappointed." He let out another mournful sigh.

Ye Fan's brain practically short-circuited. Reflexively, he slapped both hands over his crotch to shield his family jewels. "So," he hissed through gritted teeth, "I suppose I should thank you for your incredible generosity?"

"Oh, no, you don't need to thank me," the alchemist replied earnestly, waving his hand. "It was purely for my own selfish motives. Besides, it is an alchemist's duty."

So you actually admit it was selfish?! Ye Fan was so furious his face flushed a vibrant crimson. He grumbled internally about his rotten luck: First those bastards were gunning for my manhood in battle, and now even a complete stranger wants to chop it off! Is my junk cursed?!

"Just give me a pill for my wounds so I can leave," Ye Fan snapped, desperate to get away from this lunatic.

"Yes, yes, of course," the alchemist replied amiably, handing him a healing pill. He then added in a serious, professional tone, "However, a word of advice. Although your manhood is intact, it did sustain some trauma. To ensure a complete and healthy recovery, you absolutely must not use it for at least one year."

Ye Fan's eye twitched. He snatched the pill, slammed a spirit stone on the counter as payment, and bolted from the hall as fast as his legs could carry him.

Back at Ye Fan's Cave Dwelling

Ye Fan hurried into his cave, letting out a heavy sigh of relief as the stone doors sealed shut behind him. He immediately assumed the lotus position, swallowed the healing pill he had just bought, and slipped into deep meditation to restore his depleted qi and mend his injuries.

Three hours later, he slowly opened his eyes, having absorbed the pill's medicinal efficacy.

Suddenly, a translucent figure drifted out from the ancient ring on his finger. It was his master in soul form, Su Zain, who floated in the air and stared coldly down at him.

Seeing his teacher, Ye Fan's emotional dam broke, and he immediately poured out all his grievances. "Teacher, you don't know what I've been through! That bastard Su Changhe leaked my information to every major sect and family out there. Now, the entire world is hunting me the second I step foot outside the Holy Land! They... they are all bullying me!"

His voice grew more desperate and pitiful as he continued, "From the moment I entered this sect, absolutely nothing has gone my way. This place is a cursed omen for me! Teacher, please, let's just leave and join a different sect. We have to get out of here!"

"Even you didn't help me when they were ganging up on me! I had to burn through one trump card after another just to make it out alive!"

After finally treating his physical wounds, the compounding weight of his recent suffering caught up with him. Recalling everything he had endured since arriving at this place, Ye Fan's mentality was on the verge of complete collapse.

Su Zain listened to Ye Fan's pathetic grievances, his translucent face remaining icy.

"This is exactly your problem," the old soul rebuked coldly. "Your journey thus far has been far too smooth, leaving your Dao Heart full of flaws. The moment you face a minor setback, you turn into a scurrying rat that only knows how to run."

Ye Fan froze, staring up at his master.

"Do you remember what I told you when I first took you in as my disciple?" Su Zain's voice echoed with authority. "You are blessed with immense karmic luck! You are a chosen child of Heaven! So why is your first instinct always to flee? And you dare complain that I didn't intervene? If you need me to personally take action just to squash a few Golden Core Realm ants, then what exactly are you cultivating for, Ye Fan?!"

For the next hour, Su Zain relentlessly lectured his disciple. He tore down Ye Fan's weak mindset and slowly stoked the embers of his pride, motivating him to face his tribulations rather than abandoning the sect.

Finally, the light returned to Ye Fan's eyes. He clenched his fists, his fighting spirit reignited.

"I... I am sorry, Teacher. I made a joke of myself," Ye Fan said, taking a deep breath as his familiar arrogance slowly returned. "I am Ye Fan! I am the Heaven-Chosen One! I will not run away. Besides, I haven't even met my destined wife-master to marry her yet... nor have I dealt with my two senior sisters!"
