Chapter 1 - The agreement that changed everything

Chapter 1: The Unusual Offer

Amara stared at the document in disbelief. A contract marriage? It sounded like something out of a movie, not real life. But there it was—clear terms, conditions, and a signature line waiting for hers.

Tunde, calm and serious, explained, "It's just for one year. No emotions. Just an agreement."

Amara hesitated, but her situation left her little choice.

Chapter 2: Terms and Conditions

They agreed on everything—separate rooms, no interference in each other's lives, and absolute secrecy.

To outsiders, they would appear as a perfect couple.

But behind closed doors, they were strangers bound by paper, not love.

Amara reminded herself: This is temporary. Nothing more.

Chapter 3: The Perfect Illusion

At social events, they played their roles flawlessly.

They laughed, held hands, and even finished each other's sentences.

Friends admired them. Family members were impressed.

But at night, silence filled the house, reminding them of the truth behind their smiles.

Chapter 4: Cracks in the Agreement

As weeks passed, small changes began to happen.

Tunde started leaving breakfast for Amara.

Amara found herself waiting for him to return home.

They were breaking their own rules—without even realizing it.

The contract had no clause for growing feelings.

Chapter 5: The Unexpected Storm

One evening, an argument broke out.

"You're forgetting this is just an agreement!" Amara shouted.

Tunde paused, hurt flashing in his eyes.

"Then why does it feel real?" he replied.

The line between acting and reality had become dangerously blurred.

Chapter 6: Truth Beyond Paper

Months later, the contract was nearing its end.

Amara read it again, this time with a heavy heart.

What once felt like an escape now felt like a loss waiting to happen.

Tunde finally spoke the truth he had been holding back.

"I don't want this to end… not like this."

Chapter 7: A New Beginning

On the final day, they sat across from each other in silence.

The contract lay on the table, untouched.

Amara smiled softly and pushed it aside.

"Maybe we don't need this anymore."

Tunde nodded.

What started as an agreement had become something real—something stronger than any contract.

The end… or maybe just the beginning.
