Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 – The Fight and the Return

"What do we do now?" Violet asked, her voice filled with panic.

"How am I supposed to know?" I replied, my eyes still fixed on the wild Pokémon.

"Guys, do something!" Diana shouted, her voice shaking.

I quickly looked around, hoping—praying—to find someone who could help us.

But there was no one.

Just us.

A heavy silence fell between us.

My hands were trembling.

My heart was racing so fast it felt like it might burst out of my chest.

Think, Vivian. Think.

Then suddenly, an idea hit me.

"Wait…" I said. "What if we use the Pokémon we caught?"

Violet turned toward me immediately and nodded. "Yes! That might work!"

Without wasting another second, we both grabbed our Poké Balls.

"Go!" we shouted together.

A bright flash of light burst in front of us.

Pikachu and Bulbasaur appeared, ready to fight.

The wild Pokémon turned toward us, their attention shifting away from Diana.

"Diana, run!" I shouted.

She didn't hesitate. She quickly rushed toward us and hid behind, breathing heavily.

"I thought I was done for…" she whispered.

"Not yet," I said, my voice still shaky.

The battle began.

Pikachu charged forward with speed, while Bulbasaur stood strong, ready to defend.

The wild Pokémon attacked fiercely.

Every move made my heart skip a beat.

"Be careful!" Violet shouted.

"I know!" I replied, my hands clenched tightly.

We stood a little distance away, watching everything happen.

Unable to do anything.

Just hoping.

Just waiting.

The fight felt like it lasted forever.

And then…

Finally—

The wild Pokémon fell back.

Defeated.

For a second, everything went silent.

Then I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding.

"We… we did it," Violet said softly.

Diana sat down on the ground. "I never want to experience that again."

After a while, we returned to the bench, completely exhausted.

We drank water quietly, trying to calm our racing hearts.

No one spoke for a few minutes.

We were still processing everything.

The fear.

The excitement.

The thrill.

All of it felt so real.

So unforgettable.

Then suddenly—

A soft glow appeared in front of us.

A message.

Floating in midair.

"You may now return."

We stared at it in silence.

I slowly looked at my friends.

"So… should we go?" I asked.

They exchanged glances.

Then nodded.

"Yeah… let's go," Violet said.

I took a deep breath and clicked the button.

Everything blurred again.

The world spun.

And within seconds—

We were back.

My room.

My bed.

Our phones in our hands.

As if nothing had happened.

But we all knew—

Everything had changed.

"Kids, dinner's ready!" my mom called from outside.

We looked at each other.

And smiled.

Without saying a word, we switched off our phones…

And ran toward the door.
