The Angry Summons
Sonia (Priya) was furious upon hearing her secretary, Nisha's, frantic call. "Why do I need to come there? I am on leave!" she demanded, her voice tight with anger.
Nisha explained, stammering, that Abhay Sir was enraged. "He said you must come here. He is extremely angry, and he threatened to fire all the staff involved, especially Kavya Madam. Please, Madam, you have to help me!" Nisha desperately relayed how Abhay had dismissed Kavya's boastful claims of being the best designer and fired her instantly. Kavya was now openly begging Abhay, which only infuriated him more.
Sonia felt a wave of concern for Nisha, but her thoughts were interrupted when she heard Kavya's voice over the phone line. "You need to come here!" Kavya barked, treating Sonia like an inferior.
Sonia's anger flared instantly. She refused to accept this bullying or the order to go to the Oberoi Villa. Without another word, she abruptly hung up the call.
Ishani, who witnessed Sonia's sudden rage, was momentarily scared. She knew Sonia's anger was explosive and rarely contained. "What happened?" Ishani asked nervously.
Sonia briefly explained the situation. Without hesitating, she grabbed the keys to her Porsche 911 Targa and stormed out. Ishani quickly followed, buckling herself into the passenger seat.
Sonia drove the luxury sports car at blistering speed toward the Oberoi Villa. Ishani wasn't worried about the driving—Sonia's skills were impeccable—but she was worried about Sonia's incandescent anger.
The Dramatic Re-Entry
In a few minutes, they reached their destination. Sonia stopped the car outside the massive main gate of the Oberoi Villa. Two security guards stood sentinel. They were instantly wary of the unknown, high-end car.
Before the guards could approach, Sonia swiftly exited the car, removing her sunglasses. She stood there in high heels and a short, fashionable one-piece dress. The change in her personality, coupled with her bold appearance, shocked the guards to their core. She was unrecognizable as the timid girl who had left seven years ago.
Sonia fixed them with an icy, angry glare. The guards instantly backed off, one rushing to open the gate while the other quickly called Rajat, Abhay's secretary, to announce Sonia's unexpected and formidable arrival.
Abhay was immediately informed. Sonia didn't wait; she jumped back into the Porsche and drove it fast along the long driveway, through the massive gardens, until she reached the main entrance.
Waiting at the grand main door was a crowd of people: the entire Oberoi Family (including Abhay's parents, grandparents, siblings, and cousins), Sonia's brothers Arjun and Avinash, her sister-in-law Naina, and her mother Kavita Sharma. In front of them, gathered like spectators, were several employees, including Kavya and Nisha, who had been forcibly brought there by Abhay to witness the situation. Kavya, in particular, was there because she had tried to show off, believing Abhay would not be at the house.
Sonia parked the car directly in front of the assembled crowd. She looked in the rearview mirror at Ishani.
"Sonia, calm down," Ishani whispered, sensing the rage radiating from her friend.
Sonia did not reply. She stepped out of the car. The crowd stared in stunned silence. Sonia stood before them all—her stunning transformation, her short dress, and her confident, angry demeanor leaving the entire family, especially the Oberois, in a state of shock.
