Synopsis
Once, he was the brightest student in the room… the one everyone praised, admired, and expected greatness from. But everything changed when comparison entered his life. “Why aren’t you like him?” “Do better.” “Not good enough.” Those words didn’t just hurt… they stayed. Slowly, the same boy who once loved learning began to doubt himself. Confidence turned into fear. Passion turned into pressure. And the spark inside him… went silent. In a house full of people, he felt alone. In a world full of expectations, he forgot who he was. This is not a story of failure. This is a story of what expectations can destroy… and what it takes to rise again. Will he remain silenced... or will he finally break free?

Chapter 1 - Silenced by Expectations

I was born in the city of Surat,Gujarat. I live in a joint family and whoever lives in a joint family, knows the pressure on a student living in it. Everyone is trying to compare you with their child and even though you have scored a good, respectable marks in your academics but comparison would not stop at all. Similarly in my life, when I was a child, studying in LKG, I was the brightest student in my class. I used to top in my class with distinction grades. I have a loving father, mother, grandmother, grandfather, uncle, aunt, and few other members whom I call my family. As I said I was a very intelligent student and used to score good grades, when I completed my LKG and I was transferred to UKG, the excitement was very much for a 5 years old child. I remember father took me with him to stationary. He bought me a nag, a couple of books, pencils, and few other things. I was very happy at that time. A son, born in a middle class family knows his inexpressible love towards his father. When I was in 2nd STD, a student came to our school to study and he was called as a competitor to me. But, at the end I scored good grades and was the top student again. My family members who compared me to that student, were now silent as if they never compared me to anyone. My father was the happiest person on result day. But after 5th STD I had a drastic change in my life.
