Morning sunlight spilled over the grand gates of
Roseglid International High School.
Roses lined the pathways like they were hired for decoration. The fountain in the center sparkled, students walking past like they were in some luxury ad shoot.
Inside?
Pure chaos disguised as elegance.
Scene 1 — The Entrance
A black car stopped at the entrance.
Door opened.
Boots stepped out first.
Then her.
Ashylene Rae Valyne
She adjusted her bag on one shoulder, eyes scanning the school like she was already bored.
"Hmm," she muttered. "Too pretty. Definitely hiding something toxic."
A group of Sec A girls nearby whispered.
"Who is she?"
"She looks expensive…"
"Or dangerous…"
Ash glanced at them.
"Relax," she said casually, "I don't bite… unless you're annoying."
They shut up immediately.
Scene 2 — Inside the Corridor
Students filled the hallway. Laughter, gossip, drama.
Ash walked like she owned the place.
A boy accidentally bumped into her.
"Watch it—"
Before he could finish, she grabbed his collar lightly and smiled sweetly.
"You bumped into me. So technically… you should apologize."
He froze.
"I—I'm sorry…"
She let go.
"Good. Growth."
Scene 3 — Classroom Announcement
The classroom buzzed with noise.
Boys laughing. Someone throwing a paper ball. Someone literally sleeping on the desk.
This was Section F.
The teacher slammed the desk.
"QUIET!"
No one listened.
"QUIET!!"
Still nothing.
Finally—
A chalk flew across the room and hit someone.
Silence.
"Thank you," the teacher said calmly. "We have a new student."
Door opened.
Ash walked in.
Half the class straightened.
The other half smirked.
At the back, leaning lazily in his chair…

Damien Alexander Sinclair.
Arms crossed. Expression bored.
But his eyes lifted.
And stayed on her.
Scene 4 — The Name
The teacher adjusted her glasses.
"Introduce yourself."
Ash looked at the class.
Then smirked.
"I'm Ash. That's enough."
The teacher sighed. "Full name."
Ash rolled her eyes slightly.
"Ashylene Rae Valyne."
Silence.
For a second… everything paused.
At the back—
Damien's fingers tightened on his pen.
His heart—
Skipped.
A flash.
A little girl laughing.
A star necklace.
Gone.
Just like that.
He blinked.
"…weird," he muttered under his breath.
Scene 5 — Seat Arrangement
The teacher pointed.
"You'll sit there."
Right next to Damien.
The class went—
"Ooooooh."
Ash walked over, dropped her bag, sat down casually.
She glanced at him.
"Do you always look this dead inside or is today special?"
A few boys choked on laughter.
Damien slowly turned his head.
Cold eyes.
"Oh great," he said flatly, "they seated me next to noise."
Ash leaned back.
"Better than being seated next to a personality vacuum."
"Ouch," someone whispered.
Damien smirked slightly.
"Careful," he said, voice low, "people who talk too much here… don't last long."
Ash smiled wider.
"Good. I get bored easily."
Scene 6 — The Heartthrob Boys
Behind them—
Kai whispered, "Yo Damien, new girl's got guts."
Jett leaned forward. "She roasted you in 30 seconds. That's a record."
Blake grinned. "I like her already."
Ash turned slightly.
"Y'all discussing me like I'm a group project?"
Silence.
Then—
Rowan raised his hand casually. "To be fair… you're more interesting than our syllabus."
Ash nodded. "Valid."
Damien watched all of this quietly.
Expression unreadable.
But something about her…
was irritating.
And interesting.
Scene 7 — Teacher vs Section F
"Open your books!" the teacher shouted.
No one moved.
Ash looked around.
"…so this is like a free period section?"
Noah replied without looking up from his laptop, "We pretend to study. Teachers pretend to teach. It's a system."
Ash nodded.
"I respect the honesty."
The teacher snapped, "ASHYLENE! PAY ATTENTION!"
Ash looked straight at her.
"I am. I'm studying human behavior."
The class burst out laughing.
Damien let out a small breath through his nose.
Almost a laugh.
Almost.
Scene 8 — Mini Chaos
A paper ball hit Ash.
She caught it mid-air.
Opened it.
It said:
"Welcome to hell :)"
She looked up.
Blake waved.
Ash smirked.
"Oh you're funny."
Next second—
She flicked the paper.
It hit him straight on the forehead.
"Return to sender."
The class: "OOOOOOHHH!"
Damien leaned back, watching her now with full attention.
"Not bad," he muttered.
Scene 9 — After Class
Bell rang.
Students rushed out.
Ash stayed seated, stretching lazily.
Damien stood up.
She didn't move.
"So," she said, "you always this quiet or you just saving your personality for special occasions?"
He looked down at her.
"You talk like you're not new here."
She shrugged.
"Confidence. You should try it."
He leaned slightly closer.
Voice low.
"I don't need to try anything."
Ash didn't back off.
"Yeah… I can tell. Effort isn't really your thing."
Their eyes locked.
Tension.
Not soft.
Not romantic.
Sharp.
Dangerous.
Scene 10 — The First Trigger
As Damien turned to leave…
something caught his eye.
Around Ash's neck.
A necklace.
A small star.
He froze.
For a second.
That same flash again—
A girl laughing.
"Stars and moon always stay together—"
He clenched his jaw.
Turned away quickly.
"No way…" he whispered.
Behind him—
Ash watched him.
"…weirdo," she said casually.
But for the first time…
she looked slightly curious.
