Chapter 1 - CHAPTER ONE

Never in my life would I think a vampire and a werewolf would fight over me—I never even thought they were real, to be honest. I only read about them in tales, saw them in movies, and in my wildest imagination, I never thought I would see them in reality—my reality, with me being in the middle of it all. I've always loved the supernatural. Vampires, werewolves, witches, demons, and fantasy novels have helped me explore these worlds. This was the only literal thing that kept me sane, and helped me escape into worlds far more exciting than my ordinary life. But to belong to this fantasy world, which I had loved, thought of, and wondered about—is a lot to process. To be someone who could almost tear them apart is also something I might be scared of.

There was a lot going through my mind as I found myself in an open field alone, so dark and eerie, even the light of the sky refused to get involved in what was going on—until I saw him.

He had pale white skin, so white it was almost like snow, and was filled with charisma as he walked, taking each step with grace, moving gently in my direction. He came closer and closer; this time we were almost inches apart, and his face was almost closer to mine as he stared deep into my eyes with his almond, blood-like eyes, as if he were about to take over my sanity. For a moment, I was lost, couldn't think, and was still trying to process what was going on when I felt a touch on my hand. It was someone else, who looked so appealing, yet calm and mysterious.

"Let's go," I heard.

It came from the one who held my hand, with an unreadable expression in his eyes, his hands slowly pulling me closer.

"Go where?" I found myself asking.

"Anywhere, away from that vampire," the voice answered coldly, as I looked at the first boy and realized that it was true. Slowly, fangs appeared, his skin became whiter, and his eyes were bloodshot—he was truly a vampire.

"You're a vampire too, and you're mine," the vampire boy responded.

"You have to get through me. She won't let her bloodline down and become a vampire," the other boy said.

"So you want her to be a werewolf? Ridiculous," the vampire boy said as he let out a loud grin of mockery, which was followed by a sudden transformation. The boy who had held my hand turned into a werewolf—half werewolf actually, as he still had his human looks but maintained a fluffy werewolf tail.

They both clashed and started fighting, accompanied by thunder and various powers my human self could not comprehend. This was a lot to process; it all felt like a dream, like my reality was being shifted into a philosophical dimension—something unreal, yet it wasn't an illusion. The air between both guys was tense, with both out in their true forms. I felt the ground should swallow me up, though it didn't happen—something similar did. I felt something familiar but in a greater form. It started like a slight headache but increased gradually until it became so bad and unbearable for me. It was as if the scene going on was going through my head; the pain hit hard, like a giant sharp object was moving all the way from my head to what seemed to be my heart.

Is this how I'm going to die? I didn't even get to tell my story, I thought to myself.

The pain became so severe that I clutched my chest tightly, and the guys who were on the heated ground rushed to my aid in blurred sight as my eyes slowly began to accept the darkness—Damn.
