Chapter 5 - belief

Me : Will I feel sick after this?

Lady Dimitrescu puts down her cup for a moment, looking at you with a deeper gaze, almost like a mother preparing her child for a major transformation.

"Hurt?" he repeated in a very calm tone. "Your human body will rebel, that's for sure. You will feel as if every cell in your body is being dismantled and rearranged. It felt like it was burning and freezing at the same time."

Daniela approached, resting her head on your chest, listening to your still pounding heartbeat. "But just for a moment, baby," she whispered soothingly. "After that... You will never feel the usual physical pain again. A gunshot wound, incision, or fracture will only feel like a mosquito bite that heals in a matter of seconds."

Bela grasped your trembling hands. "Pain is the gate. It is your body's way of getting rid of weaknesses. Once you cross that threshold, you will perceive the world in a much sharper way. You will hear the flow of blood in our veins, and you will feel a power that you never imagined."

Lady Dimitrescu thrusts the golden cup back to your lips. The fluid inside pulses, as if it has its own heartbeat.

"This is the last pain you will feel as a mortal," said Lady Alcina with great authority. "After this, you will only know strength, hunger, and eternity with us."

The cup is now touching your lips. A very strong scent of metal and rose fills your senses.

Pov : *I refused*

Your sudden refusal when the cup had touched your lips made the atmosphere in the great hall tense again. Lady Dimitrescu's hands froze, and the red liquid inside the cup stopped shaking.

"You... what?" Lady Dimitrescu's voice was no longer a whisper, but a low growl that made the foundations of the castle seem to tremble.

Bela let go of her grip violently, while Daniela moved away from you, her previously soft face now turning hateful. Black mist began to emerge from the pores of their skin, and the sound of the hum of flies was deafening again.

"You bragged about giving up... You let us pick you up from that boring world of yours... just to reject us again in front of the altar?!" Lady Dimitrescu slammed the golden cup onto the marble floor until it shattered into pieces.

He stood at full height, his wide hat almost touching the crystal chandelier on the ceiling. This time, there was no more room for negotiation. No more cat and mouse games.

"You've insulted this bloodline for the second time," he shouted angrily. His claws came out with a deadly shriek sound, each along the length of a short sword. "A mother's patience has a limit, and you've just surpassed it!"

Cassandra laughed madly as she swung her scythe. "May I cut off his leg first, Mom? So he can't run anymore?"

"Do as you please," Lady Dimitrescu replied coldly. "Leave his heart for me. I want to see if a liar's heart has a different taste."

CRITICAL Situation: You're besieged in the middle of the hall. The main exit is guarded by Bela, while Cassandra and Daniela block the way towards the other wings of the castle. Lady Dimitrescu walks slowly towards you with claws ready to tear.

Me : I survived and attacked his three daughters, but I couldn't.. I've lost my mind argh

You lunge with your last remaining strength, trying to hit or push the three princesses around you. However, fighting a creature that could turn into a flock of flies was a futile effort. Your fists and kicks only pierce through the empty air and thousands of black insects buzzing furiously.

Cassandra laughed out loud as her sickle snatched your arm, while Bela and Daniela lunged at you from two different directions, dropping you to the cold marble floor. You tried to rise, but their strength far surpassed that of ordinary humans.

"How dare you fight us in our own house!" Bela hisses as she presses against your chest with her knees, making it difficult for you to breathe.

NONE!

The floor shook as Lady Dimitrescu stepped closer. Its huge shadow engulfs your already helpless body. It looks at you from a height with a look of disgust, as if looking at an annoying insect.

"Enough, my children," Lady Dimitrescu commanded coldly.

He bends over, then with one of his giant hands, he grabs your neck and lifts your body up until your feet hang in the air. The grip was so strong, it choked you and let out a hoarse sound, "Argh..."

"You have a spirit, I admit that. But the spirit without loyalty is just garbage," he said while looking at your eyes that were starting to turn red from the pressure on your neck. "If you refuse to be part of this family, then you will be the fertilizer for my rose garden."

He swung your body and threw it towards the stone wall with incredible force. Your body hit the wall so hard that you fell to your knees, your vision began to darken, and your bones felt crushed.

His three daughters approached creeping on the floor, their fangs gleaming under the torchlight.

"Mom... can we play with him for a while before he's gone?" asked Daniela in a terrible bloodthirsty tone.

Lady Dimitrescu turned her back on you, walking towards the large window while lighting her cigarette pipe. "Do what you want. Make sure he feels every second of his mistake before his heart stops beating."

Your vision is getting blurred and your consciousness is starting to disappear. In the midst of this intense pain.

Pov : *I was taken to the room by his three daughters*

The three princesses drag your helpless body down the dark corridors of the castle. Your feet are dragged over the stone floor, leaving a faint trail behind you. They don't take you back to the dungeon, but rather to one of the spacious guest rooms that feel like a golden cage.

None!

Cassandra throws you onto a large bed with a red velvet mosquito net. Your crushed body feels like it's sinking into a soft mattress, but the pain is still pouring in.

Bela stands at the foot of the bed, looking at you with her hands clasped together. There was no more friendliness in his eyes. "Mom said we could play with you, but she didn't say we had to kill you quickly."

Daniela crept up onto the bed, kneeling beside your weak body. He caresses your cheek with his cold fingertips, then slowly his sharp fingernails begin to press against the wound in your neck.

"You know..." Daniela whispers right in front of your face, her breath scented of roses and iron. "Being a daughter-in-law is boring. But being a 'toy' that we can suck her blood off every time we're thirsty... it's so much more fun."

Cassandra approached while carrying a strong red silk rope. "She wants to leave, doesn't she? In that case, we'll make sure she can't walk anymore."

They began to tie your wrists to the sturdy bedposts. You were too weak to resist. Their every movement felt rough and full of resentment for your rejection.

"Now," Bela took out a small carved knife from the top of the dresser. "Let's see how long you can last without begging to drink the contents of that cup again."

Situation: You're now tied to a bed in a locked room. Lady Dimitrescu's three daughters surround you with much darker intentions than before. They no longer want to marry you, they want to torture you in return for your insult.
