Chapter 19 - Chapter 88: Cat Armor Form

Eneru was a bit uncertain upon hearing this, not knowing if Luo Fan was deliberately testing his character.

Eneru was no fool; through his time spent with Luo Fan and the others, he was certain that Luo Fan was not some cruel, bloodthirsty cat, and neither were his companions.

If this was a test, Eneru was willing to choose to let go of his hatred and go to the Blue Sea with Luo Fan and the others.

However, to Eneru's surprise, Luo Fan was serious. He said in a grave tone, "Eneru, I haven't told you our identities before, but it's time you knew."

"We aren't 'good people,' at least not in the eyes of ordinary people in the Blue Sea."

"Marco, Whitey Bay, and I are all pirates—pirates of the Whitebeard Pirates. As for Noy, she was originally a Slave to the World Nobles, the Celestial Dragons. After I rescued her, she stayed by my side."

After listening to Luo Fan, Eneru was a bit dazed. Although he grew Up on the Sky Island of the White-White Sea, he knew what pirates were, and the image of Luo Fan and his crew clearly didn't match the pirates he had heard of.

Then there were the Celestial Dragons; it was the first time he had heard this title, but at first mention, Eneru had no positive feelings toward them.

The reason was simple: these World Nobles called Celestial Dragons actually kept Noy as a Slave. This point alone was something Eneru couldn't tolerate.

Luo Fan then told Eneru about Noy's past in detail. After hearing it, Eneru's face turned dark, and lightning flickered around him, clearly showing he was enraged to the extreme.

"Luo Fan, is the status of the Celestial Dragons very high?"

"Yes! As I said, Celestial Dragons are World Nobles. According to World Government regulations, everyone in this world is a subject of the Celestial Dragons. As long as a Celestial Dragon wishes, they can seize anyone as a Slave."

"What if someone resists?"

"They die. If a Celestial Dragon is harmed, a Marine Admiral will be dispatched."

"Marine Admiral? What's that?" Eneru followed Up.

"That brings us to the power structure of this sea." Luo Fan then explained the situation of the World Government, the Marines, and pirates in detail to Eneru.

After listening, Eneru gained a vague concept of an Admiral.

"Luo Fan, according to you, an Admiral is the highest combat power of the Marines. Then why would an Admiral be dispatched just because a Celestial Dragon is injured? Shouldn't an army protect the people? Just like the Priests of the Sky Island."

"The Priests of the Sky Island protect the people because of the God Gan Fall. With a different God, it might not be the same. Besides, the relationship between the Marines and the Celestial Dragons isn't like yours on the Sky Island."

"To put it simply, the Celestial Dragons control the World Government, and the World Government controls the Marines."

"I see. The Marines are just a private army kept by the Celestial Dragons," Eneru said after a moment of reflection.

"It's not exactly like that. The Marines have their own beliefs; they have been dedicated to maintaining the order of this sea. But unfortunately, the order they maintain is inherently wrong."

"In fact, many within the Marines know that what they protect is wrong, but they have no way to shake that order."

"Of course, there are also Hawks within the Marines. These people don't care if the order they maintain is right or wrong; they simply adhere to the rules, viewing this flawed order as 'Absolute Justice.'"

"These Hawks are the backbone of the Marines, and they are the ones who contribute the most to the stability of the sea. To be honest, if I were a civilian, I should feel fortunate for their existence."

"But you aren't," Eneru said coldly.

"Yeah! I'm not, and neither are you, so I don't like them."

"Luo Fan, you said you're a pirate. Are you just a pirate?"

Luo Fan smiled upon hearing this. "For now, I am indeed just a pirate, but that might not be the case in the future. Eneru, you grew Up on a Sky Island so you might not have a direct grasp of it, but in my view, this world has long been sick."

"Sick?"

"That's right! The Celestial Dragons and the World Government are the root of the disease. What I want to do is excise that root."

After hearing Luo Fan's words, Eneru's eyes lit Up. His intuition told him that this was something very special and meaningful—at least more meaningful than his revenge.

"I understand, Luo Fan. I will let go of my hatred for the people of Birka and go with you to the Blue Sea."

"Hmm? Who said anything about letting go of your hatred? Someone who doesn't take revenge for a grievance is a coward. Those people bullied you for so many years; just enduring it won't do."

"But what you just said..."

"That's for the future. Right now, I'm a pirate, and pirates settle scores immediately."

"Yahahaha! Luo Fan, it's truly great to have met you all!"

"So, you agree?"

"Why would I refuse the chance to get some proper revenge on those people?"

Luo Fan also smiled. He hoped Eneru would restrain his temperament and treat them as companions, but he didn't want Eneru to become someone who acted with excessive hesitation and restraint.

After reaching an agreement with Eneru, Luo Fan's group began their move.

They first informed Gan Fall, then had Marco and the others put on masks, while Luo Fan took a rumble ball and transformed into his third form: Cat Armor Form.

The Cat Gun Form mainly transformed and strengthened the wings, the Cat Sword Form mainly transformed and strengthened the claws, while the Cat Armor Form transformed and strengthened the fur.

In Cat Armor Form, Luo Fan's height would become comparable to the Cat Sword Form, around 2 meters. His fur would grow wildly like a Mink Tribe's Sulong form, covering his entire body, including his wings.

In this state, Luo Fan was pitch black, his specific features indistinguishable. The fur clung tightly to his body; once infused with Armament Haki, he would look like a human wearing a suit of pitch-black armor to anyone who saw him.

The defensive power gained by sacrificing speed was nothing short of monstrous.

In Cat Armor Form, Luo Fan's speed would drop significantly, but his strength and fur defense would increase. Especially the fur defense; unless one had mastered Advanced Armament Haki or was a Great Swordsman level combatant, it would be difficult to harm Luo Fan.

However, the downside was that it was hard for Luo Fan to use Cat Armor Form against average experts because the speed was simply too slow, making it difficult to react to fast attacks.

To put it bluntly, this form was only suitable for dealing with meat tanks.

Of course, the drawbacks of the Cat Armor Form could be improved.

First, Luo Fan could put all his points into speed from now on; that way, the shortcoming of the Cat Armor Form being too clumsy could be mitigated to some extent.

Second was Devil Fruit Awakening. The Human-Human Fruit is also a type of Animal Fruit; once awakened, Luo Fan's recovery speed after injury would greatly increase, making him even more thick-skinned. At that point, even if his speed was slow and he couldn't react, it wouldn't matter—you couldn't beat him to death anyway.

This was only the preliminary Cat Armor Form; there would be further variations later.
