CHAPTER 3: SHADOW HIGH SCHOOL
In the human world, Thomas had slaughtered many hypnotized people using his aura and his blue dagger. Now, standing before him were two members of The Number: Number 9, Nelson, and Number 4, Michael. The two of them blocked Thomas's path, and the battle began.
Nelson possessed the Tara to tame animals, and he summoned numerous creatures such as gorillas, eagles, and others to attack. Meanwhile, Michael was capable of controlling thunder. Thomas attempted to fight them using his aura alone, but he struggled and found himself cornered.
Finally, Thomas unleashed his own Tara: Ice. With a surge of power, Thomas froze Nelson along with all of his beasts. A fierce duel then commenced between Thomas and Michael. However, Michael suffered many wounds; he was unable to harm Thomas because the ice acted as a perfect insulator, preventing the lightning and thunder from reaching him. The battle concluded with Michael being severely injured.
Thomas walked into the school’s secret room and retrieved a massive spear engraved with many strange patterns. When Thomas arrived back at the base, he lay down on his bed and stored the spear in a safe place. Suddenly, Thomas realized something—how was he able to use his Tara when the world's power was supposed to be suppressed? Thomas was confused, but he eventually brushed the thought aside.
