Synopsis
[MATURE CONTENT 18+] In a kingdom built on power, strength, and ruthless ambition, weakness is unforgivable. Prince Philip Tenebris Gladia, the crown prince, is known across the royal court for one thing—being a failure. Mocked by nobles. Ignored by knights. Whispered about in palace halls. He is seen as the weakest heir the kingdom has ever produced. The only person who ever believed in him was his mother, the queen… until her sudden and mysterious death from a supposed heart attack shattered the last warmth in his life. Years later, the king makes a decision that shocks the court. Philip is sent to the edge of the kingdom, ordered to reclaim a forgotten frontier town swallowed by ruin and darkness. Officially, it is a royal mission to restore the land. Unofficially, it is the perfect excuse to rid the throne of its most embarrassing heir. But the mission was never meant to succeed. Soon after arriving, Philip is betrayed by the very men sworn to serve him and left to die in the depths of a desolate land. His body falls into darkness… In a silent void of endless shadows, Philip comes face to face with something impossible— his own shadow. A dark counterpart born from the rage, grief, and resentment he has buried his entire life. It offers him a choice. Remain the weak prince the world despises… or embrace the darkness within and rise again. Philip chooses power. When he returns, the fragile prince the kingdom once mocked is gone. Bound to the shadow within him, Philip begins rebuilding the forsaken land while uncovering secrets buried deep within the kingdom itself. Betrayal. Forbidden desires. Political conspiracies. And the haunting mystery of his mother’s death. As allies gather and enemies close in, Philip walks the razor’s edge between hero and monster, struggling against the darkness growing inside his soul. Because the greatest threat to the kingdom may not be the enemies beyond its borders… …but the prince rising from its shadows.

Chapter 1 - Prologue – The Beginning of the End

For the longest time, all I ever knew was darkness.

Not the kind that steals your sight—but the kind that teaches you how to survive without it.

The kind that sharpens your instincts, that whispers lessons in silence, that turns every breath into a calculated decision. The kind that teaches you that light can lie just as easily as shadow.

I was born into royalty, into a world dressed in gold and perfumed with lies. A world where thorns hid beneath velvet words, where loyalty was currency and betrayal inevitable.

Power was never inherited, it was fought for.

Bled for.

Stolen in silence.

From the outside, my life appeared enviable. Luxurious. Glorious. The life of a prince—adored by the masses, protected by armies, surrounded by silk and stone.

It was none of those things.

Behind palace walls, smiles were sharpened like blades. Every gesture carried weight. Every word could become a weapon. The halls of nobility were quieter than battlefields… but far more dangerous.

Every day was a battle for control.

Over my kingdom.

Over my name.

Over my own life.

Death followed me so closely that it began to haunt my sleep, creeping into my dreams until waking felt no safer than rest. Even in the silence of night, I could feel unseen eyes watching from the darkness, waiting for the moment I would finally fall.

Even my father abandoned me.

In the end, it didn't matter.

They were parasites—every last one of them.

I uncovered secrets meant to stay buried. I watched lives twisted, broken, and discarded by those who smiled the widest and spoke the sweetest.

My enemies wore familiar faces.

They breached my inner circle, whispered loyalty into my ear, bowed their heads before me… and waited.

When they struck, it was absolute.

My subjects.

My comrades.

My own clan.

I never saw it coming.

The massacre was swift. Merciless. A storm of blood and steel that swallowed everything I had built. By the time I realized what had happened, the world I had fought to protect was already collapsing around me.

I thought death had claimed me.

Thought hell had opened its jaws and swallowed what remained of my soul.

Instead, I awoke in a void.

An endless black that knew my name.

A silence so deep it felt alive.

It cradled my shadow and refused to let me fade.

At first, I believed it a dream—a fractured illusion where I could slip between realms at will, where my broken mind had crafted a refuge from reality.

I was wrong.

So very wrong.

The Void was real.

A world stripped of lies, where only shadows existed—honest, unmasked, eternal. There were no crowns there. No titles. No false loyalties.

Only truth.

Fiction collapsed into reality.

Imagination hardened into fact and within that emptiness… I felt it.

Power.

Something vast.

Something ancient.

Something that had been waiting.

It rested within my grasp like a blade offered to a dying man, and I took it.

I returned to my world cloaked in darkness and hunted every betrayer, one by one. I dragged them into the shadows they had once hidden behind and erased them so completely that even their souls found no refuge.

Mercy became a forgotten language.

By the time a year had passed, my kingdom had only one word for me.

Tyrant.

For that sin, my father banished me.

Crippled and cast into the dead lands, I was imprisoned by mistake in the most unforgiving prison known to man. The kind of place where hope rotted and men forgot their own names.

But even there… darkness welcomed me.

Through blood.

Through suffering.

Through sheer will.

I rose again, climbing from the depths until authority bowed before me once more.

Yet revenge is a hollow throne.

When I finally faced my true enemy and struck them down, the cost was everything.

Victory tasted like ash.

My kingdom lay in ruins.

My purpose shattered.

And for the first time since the massacre… I was lost.

That was when he appeared.

A young man wearing my face stepped through the darkness as if it were water, ripples spreading beneath his feet. The void itself seemed to bend around him, recognizing something familiar.

He stopped before me and extended his hand.

A faint smile touched his lips.

"We finally meet," he said.

"It's been a while."

His voice sounded like an echo of my own thoughts.

With those words, he offered me another reality.

Another chance.

Another path through the endless darkness.

And once again…

I stood at the edge of the abyss.

Forced to choose—to remain… or to move forward
