Chapter 1: The Silver Key in the Attic
The sun was setting behind the hills of a small village in Bengal. Rohan, a fourteen-year-old boy with messy hair and deep brown eyes, was exploring his grandfather's old attic. The attic was filled with the scent of dust and old paper.
While moving a heavy wooden chest, Rohan spotted something glittering in the corner. It was a silver key, but it didn't look like any key he had seen before. It had tiny, intricate wings engraved on its handle, and it felt strangely warm in his hand.
"What does this open?" Rohan whispered to himself.
As he gripped the key, a faint blue glow started to pulse from it. At the same time, he found a folded piece of parchment underneath a pile of old books. It was a hand-drawn map. The map didn't show the village; it showed a path leading deep into the "Forbidden Woods" to a tree that looked like a giant hand reaching for the sky.
Rohan felt a shiver of excitement and fear. He knew his grandfather was a man of many secrets, but he never imagined a magical one. He tucked the key into his pocket and hid the map under his shirt. The adventure had just begun.
