"Angels do not question Heaven."
That was the first rule every angel learned the moment they were born from the Light.
For thousands of years, no one had broken that rule.
Until Seraphina.
High above the mortal world, where the sky turned into endless gold and the clouds shone like rivers of silver, stood the Kingdom of Heaven.
The land was breathtaking.
Crystal palaces floated in the air, glowing gardens stretched across the sky, and countless angels flew through the radiant atmosphere with wings that reflected pure light.
Everything in Heaven was perfect.
Or at least… that was what everyone believed.
But Seraphina had always felt something was wrong.
She stood alone at the edge of the Celestial Balcony, the highest point of the Heavenly Citadel. From here, she could see the entire kingdom — the golden towers, the endless light, the angels moving like stars across the sky.
Her long golden hair moved gently with the wind, glowing faintly like sunlight. Her wings were larger than most angels, each feather shining with a soft silver aura.
She was beautiful.
Powerful.
And dangerously curious.
Seraphina leaned slightly over the balcony and looked beyond the shining sky of Heaven.
Far in the distance, where the golden light slowly faded into darkness, there was a forbidden horizon.
No angel was allowed to look there.
Because that was the direction of Hell.
A place filled with demons, monsters, and eternal darkness.
At least… that was what Heaven claimed.
Seraphina narrowed her eyes as she stared at the distant darkness.
"Still thinking about it?"
A voice suddenly spoke behind her.
She didn't turn.
"I'm not thinking," she said calmly.
Footsteps echoed across the marble floor as another angel approached her.
"I know that look," the angel continued. "You're staring at the border again."
Seraphina finally turned slightly.
The angel standing behind her was Michael, one of Heaven's elite guardians. His armor was made of radiant silver, and a holy sword rested at his side.
Unlike Seraphina, Michael was the perfect angel.
Loyal.
Disciplined.
Obedient.
Everything Heaven expected.
"You know it's forbidden to look toward Hell," he said seriously.
Seraphina gave a small smile.
"Is it forbidden to look… or forbidden to think?"
Michael frowned.
"Seraphina."
His tone carried a warning.
But she didn't seem worried.
Instead, she walked slowly across the balcony until she stood directly in front of him.
"Let me ask you something," she said quietly.
Michael crossed his arms.
"What?"
Seraphina's golden eyes locked onto his.
"Have you ever seen a demon?"
The question caught him off guard.
"No."
"Have you ever been to Hell?"
"Of course not."
"Then how do you know they're monsters?"
Michael hesitated.
That question had never crossed his mind before.
"We were told," he replied finally.
Seraphina tilted her head slightly.
"Exactly."
Michael's expression darkened.
"That's enough."
He stepped closer.
"Seraphina, you're one of Heaven's strongest angels. The Council already watches you carefully. If they hear you questioning the laws of Heaven—"
"What will they do?" she interrupted.
Michael went silent.
Seraphina turned away and walked back to the edge of the balcony.
Below her, thousands of angels flew peacefully through the shining sky.
A perfect world.
A flawless kingdom.
But perfection often hid the deepest lies.
"Have you ever wondered why Heaven forbids us from even looking toward Hell?" she asked softly.
Michael didn't answer.
Seraphina continued staring toward the distant darkness.
"Maybe it's because they're afraid we might discover the truth."
"The truth?" Michael repeated.
"Yes."
She looked back at him.
"What if Hell isn't the monster we believe it is?"
The silence that followed felt heavy.
Dangerous.
Michael suddenly grabbed her arm.
"Stop."
His voice was sharp now.
"Do you realize what you're saying?"
Seraphina gently pulled her arm away.
"Yes."
Michael shook his head.
"You're playing with dangerous thoughts."
Before Seraphina could reply, a deep horn echoed across Heaven.
BOOOOOOM.
The sound shook the entire sky.
All angels immediately stopped flying.
Another horn followed.
BOOOOOOM.
Michael's eyes widened.
"The Council Summons."
Across Heaven, thousands of angels changed direction and began flying toward the central palace.
Whenever the Heavenly Council called for a gathering, it meant something important had happened.
Michael spread his wings.
"We need to go."
But Seraphina didn't move.
Instead, she kept staring toward the dark horizon.
Michael noticed this and frowned.
"Seraphina."
Still no response.
"Seraphina!"
She finally looked at him.
"Go ahead," she said calmly.
"I'll come later."
Michael stared at her suspiciously.
"You'd better."
With that, he flew away toward the palace along with the other angels.
Within minutes, the sky above Heaven became empty.
Silent.
Seraphina was now completely alone on the balcony.
The wind moved gently through the air as she slowly walked forward again.
Closer to the edge.
Closer to the forbidden horizon.
Her heart beat faster.
For thousands of years, angels had followed Heaven's rules without question.
But Seraphina had never been like the others.
She believed truth should be discovered.
Not blindly obeyed.
Her wings slowly unfolded behind her.
Massive.
Radiant.
Powerful.
The air around her began glowing with holy energy.
If any angel saw her now, they would immediately understand what she was about to do.
Break the oldest rule in Heaven.
Seraphina took a deep breath.
Then she jumped.
Her wings spread wide as she shot into the sky like a streak of light.
Faster.
Higher.
Farther away from Heaven.
The golden kingdom slowly became smaller behind her.
Ahead of her, the sky gradually darkened.
The air grew colder.
The light of Heaven faded.
For the first time in her life…
Seraphina was leaving Heaven.
And heading toward the forbidden border.
Minutes passed.
The beautiful golden clouds disappeared.
Dark storm clouds began to form.
A strange energy filled the air.
Seraphina slowed down.
Her wings fluttered carefully as she looked down.
Below her was a massive canyon that split the sky itself.
A terrifying crack between two worlds.
The Border of Hell.
Black lightning flashed through the clouds.
The air trembled with dark energy.
Even the bravest angels feared this place.
But Seraphina's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"So this is it…"
She gently descended toward the canyon.
The moment her feet touched the ground…
A deep rumble echoed across the land.
BOOOOOOM.
Seraphina froze.
Something was wrong.
The ground suddenly cracked beneath her.
Dark energy burst out like flames.
Before she could react—
A powerful force exploded from the ground and threw her backward.
Her wings slammed against the rocks.
Seraphina gasped.
"What—"
A low voice suddenly echoed through the darkness.
Cold.
Dangerous.
Amused.
"Well… well…"
The shadows moved.
Something stepped out from the darkness of the canyon.
Seraphina slowly looked up.
Her golden eyes widened.
Standing in front of her was a tall figure surrounded by dark flames.
Black horns curved from his head.
Massive crimson wings unfolded behind him.
His eyes glowed like burning embers.
A demon.
But not just any demon.
The demon leaned slightly forward, studying her with curiosity.
Then a slow smile appeared on his lips.
"A lost little angel… at the gates of Hell."
His eyes glowed brighter.
"This is interesting."
Seraphina felt her heart pound as she stared at him.
For the first time in her life…
She was face to face with a demon.
And something deep inside her told her one terrifying truth.
This demon…
Was far more dangerous than Heaven had ever warned.
The demon took one step closer.
"And tell me, angel…"
His voice dropped into a dark whisper.
"Did Heaven send you…"
His wings expanded, covering the sky with darkness.
"Or did you come here… looking for trouble?"
Seraphina slowly stood up, spreading her glowing wings again.
The air between them filled with tension.
Light and darkness collided.
Angel and demon.
Two enemies that should never meet.
Yet neither of them looked away.
Because neither of them knew that this single moment…
Would ignite a war between Heaven and Hell.
