Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Late-Arriving Golden Finger

Uchiha Clan Compound

"The ointment Orochimaru developed himself is actually quite good."

Uchiha Su gently rubbed the bruised area on his abdomen. The moment the ointment spread across the injury, a cool and soothing sensation flowed through his skin, quickly dulling the pain left behind by Tsunade's terrifying punch.

Although he had been sent flying across the training ground earlier that day, the medicine seemed to be working wonders.

With a light sigh, he continued walking down the quiet stone path toward the place where he lived.

The Uchiha Clan compound was large and solemn, filled with traditional wooden buildings and stone lanterns. The setting sun cast long shadows across the courtyard paths, giving the entire place an almost nostalgic atmosphere.

Uchiha Su lived here together with Uchiha Madara.

His father had been Madara's younger brother, Uchiha Taiga. Because Madara had never married and had no direct descendants, he had taken responsibility for raising Su after Taiga's death.

In many ways, Madara had been grooming him as his successor.

Uchiha Madara originally had five younger brothers.

However, the brutal era of endless war had claimed the lives of four of them on the battlefield. Only Uchiha Taiga had survived into the era of peace.

Sadly, Taiga had passed away several years ago due to illness, leaving Su behind.

As Su stepped into the courtyard, he immediately noticed something unusual.

Uchiha Madara was sitting in the center of the main hall.

What made the scene strange was the way he was dressed.

Madara was wearing full armor—ancient armor that had clearly been left over from the chaotic Warring States Period. The dark red plates were scratched and dented, covered with deep scars that told countless stories of violent battles.

Looking at the armor carefully, Su couldn't help but feel a sense of awe.

It was difficult to imagine what kind of terrifying battles its owner had experienced for the armor to be damaged so severely.

"Su, you're back."

Madara's voice was calm.

His long black hair had already begun to show faint streaks of white, but his face still carried that proud expression of someone who looked down upon the entire world.

Only when his gaze rested on Su did the cold sharpness in his eyes soften slightly.

"Uncle."

Su respectfully bowed toward him. His movements were clean and precise.

"Come here and sit beside me."

Madara lightly patted the cushion beside him.

Without hesitation, Su walked forward and sat down next to him.

Up close, he could see the armor even more clearly.

"Uncle," Su asked curiously, "why are you wearing armor today? Is something important going to happen?"

Madara looked at him silently for a moment before answering.

"Su, I'm about to tell you something important. I need you to give me your answer immediately after hearing it."

His voice was steady.

"But no matter what your decision is, I will respect it. After all, you are about to graduate from the Ninja Academy. In the eyes of our clan, that means you are already an adult."

Madara gently placed a hand on Su's shoulder.

Su was only six years old.

However, for those who had grown up during the Warring States Period, six years old was already old enough to hold a blade and step onto a battlefield.

"I'm ready, Uncle," Su said seriously. "Please tell me."

He straightened his posture.

Somewhere deep inside, he could already sense that whatever Madara was about to say would be extremely important.

Madara did not hesitate.

"I am planning to defect."

His voice was calm, as if he were discussing something ordinary.

"If any members of the clan are willing to follow me, I will take them and leave Konoha to find a new place."

Su froze.

For a moment, his mind completely stopped working.

"…Huh?"

He looked at Madara, unsure whether he had heard correctly.

"You heard me correctly," Madara said calmly. "I am planning to leave Konoha."

"I will make my move within three days."

There was no hesitation in his tone. Clearly, this decision had been carefully considered for a very long time.

"I originally wanted to leave more than ten years ago," Madara continued slowly.

"But your father, my younger brother Taiga, stopped me."

Su listened quietly.

"Taiga told me that the clan had finally experienced peace after countless years of war," Madara said.

"He believed that even though I was the one who led them out of the chaotic era… I might not be able to convince them to abandon the peace they had just obtained."

Madara gave a faint smile.

"And to be honest, I've never been very good at persuading people."

A rare look of nostalgia appeared in his eyes.

Perhaps remembering Taiga had brought back feelings he hadn't experienced for many years.

Family.

Warmth.

"Yes," Madara continued softly, "peace is indeed a precious thing."

"It's something everyone longs for."

"Only now do I truly understand what Taiga was thinking back then."

Su remained silent as Madara spoke.

He knew that Madara needed someone to listen.

At the same time, Madara was giving him time to think.

Should he follow Madara and leave?

Or remain in Konoha?

The two of them eventually walked into the courtyard garden.

Madara squatted down slowly and placed his hand on the damp soil.

Heavy rain had fallen earlier that morning, leaving the ground slightly wet.

"Su," Madara said quietly, "have you made your decision?"

"Will you come with me?"

"No matter what you choose, I will not blame you."

Su thought for only a moment.

Then he answered.

"I've decided."

"I'll go with you, Uncle."

"I'll leave Konoha and help rebuild a new Uchiha Clan."

Madara looked at him in surprise.

Then a faint sense of relief appeared in his expression.

"Good," he said.

"Wait for my signal within three days."

"You will not regret this decision."

"Your father already chose a location for us before he died. It's a place where the Uchiha can rebuild our glory."

Madara placed his hand firmly on Su's shoulder.

Then he suddenly remembered something.

"By the way, your father left something for you."

"Come with me. It's time you received it."

Madara led Su toward a hidden section of the compound.

Behind a concealed wooden panel was a secret room.

Inside, Madara took out a small sealed container.

"This contains the most precious thing your father left you."

He opened the container slightly.

Inside were two eyes preserved in liquid.

"The Mangekyō Sharingan," Madara said quietly.

"The legendary eyes of the Uchiha clan."

"These eyes possess power capable of seeing through everything."

"When you awaken your own Mangekyō Sharingan someday, you can transplant these eyes and awaken the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan."

Madara then handed him an old notebook made of sheepskin.

"This notebook contains records about the Mangekyō Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyō."

"You should read it carefully."

Madara turned toward the door.

"I won't stay with you tonight."

"I'll be very busy these next few days."

Before leaving, he gently patted Su's shoulder once more.

Then he left the secret room.

Su stood there quietly.

In his hands were two items.

The preserved Mangekyō Sharingan.

And the notebook.

For a moment, everything suddenly seemed to make sense.

"…Was my father also a transmigrator?"

Su muttered to himself.

That was the only explanation that made sense.

If Taiga had also come from another world, it would explain the strange timeline and Madara's current actions.

"My father must have influenced Madara a lot," Su thought.

"That's probably why he delayed his plans until now."

He paused.

"I wonder if Black Zetsu is still secretly following Madara…"

Shaking his head, Su turned his attention back to the notebook.

He began reading.

The notebook contained detailed information about the Mangekyō Sharingan and the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

However, before he could finish reading—

A mechanical voice suddenly echoed inside his mind.

[Mission Issued]

[Establish a New Uchiha]

[Rebuild the Uchiha Clan in the Land of Water and spread rumors throughout the ninja world that the true Konoha lies within the Hidden Mist.]

[Reward: Mangekyō Sharingan]

Su blinked.

"So… the place my father chose was the Land of Water."

Suddenly everything made perfect sense.

Among the Five Great Nations:

The Land of Fire was obviously impossible. Konoha would constantly interfere with the Uchiha if they remained there.

The Land of Earth was filled with powerful ninja forces and would be difficult to conquer.

The Land of Lightning had harsh terrain and powerful enemies.

The Land of Wind had terrible living conditions.

That left only one option.

The Land of Water.

It was separated from the mainland by the ocean and remained relatively isolated.

Outsiders found it difficult to influence the region.

Its environment was stable, and its trade networks were surprisingly strong.

For rebuilding a new Uchiha Clan, it was almost perfect.

At first, Su had thought the mission's requirement to "spread rumors" sounded strange.

But the more he thought about it, the more logical it became.

Who created Konoha?

The answer was obvious.

Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara.

The village was born from the alliance of the Senju Clan and the Uchiha Clan.

Although many smaller clans had joined later, those two were the true founders.

But now the Senju clan had essentially disappeared.

Most of its members had integrated into Konoha society and no longer used the Senju name.

Even Tsunade didn't carry the surname anymore.

Meanwhile, the Uchiha still existed as a united clan.

So if the entire Uchiha clan suddenly moved to the Land of Water…

Who could say the real Konoha wasn't there?

Su smiled slightly.

"System… open the panel."

A translucent interface appeared in front of him.

Host: Uchiha Su

Identity: Young Clan Head of the Uchiha

Chakra Level: B

Age: 6

Kekkei Genkai: Two-Tomoe Sharingan

Ninjutsu:

Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique (Lv.3)

Shurikenjutsu (Lv.2)

Uchiha-Style Swordsmanship (Lv.4)

Uchiha-Style Taijutsu (Lv.2)

Mission: Pending – Establish a New Uchiha

Su narrowed his eyes slightly as he studied the panel.

Based on these stats…

Tsunade shouldn't actually be stronger than him.

"Then how did she punch me like that earlier…?"

Su frowned slightly.

Perhaps the princess of Konoha was hiding more strength than he had realized.

Or perhaps—

She was simply terrifying.
