Chapter 6 - Bath

Hesitant, I accepted the invitation.

I had never bathed with anyone but myself. I was the only man on the island. I had noticed the lingering looks, the innuendos tossed my way in a joking tone… but it always stayed at that. Jokes.

Or at least, I thought they were.

To be sure, I took a deep breath and asked:

— Auntie… are you really going to bathe with me? You aren't… having impure thoughts, are you?

She looked me up and down, taking her time. The smile that appeared on her lips was calm… yet heavy with intent.

— Of course I am — she replied, amused and mischievous. — And I'm having many thoughts. If you can't handle it… I'll stop.

My heart raced.

In that instant, I understood.

She wanted me.

Not as a child she helped raise. Not just as the son of Zeus. But as a man.

I was momentarily speechless, caught between surprise, desire, and the awareness that this line should never have been crossed.

My thoughts were at war.

That was when she turned gracefully, her steps firm and confident, and simply said:

— Come.

I swallowed hard.

This wasn't a sword duel.

It wasn't a test of strength.

It was something much more dangerous.

I followed her in silence.

The corridor to her room felt longer than usual. My heart was beating so hard I was certain she could hear it.

We entered.

The room was spacious and elegant, worthy of a queen. At the back, there was a private bath. Inside, a small stone pool with hot water, steam rising slowly and enveloping the room in a soft mist.

The anticipation was almost suffocating.

She turned to me, her eyes too calm for someone who knew exactly what she was doing.

— Wait for me here. I'll be right back.

I nodded, unable to trust my own voice.

She disappeared behind a side door.

I was alone.

The warm steam brushed against my skin, but the chill was inside me. Not of fear… but of doubt. This wasn't just desire. This was a line being crossed. A choice that could change everything.

I looked at my own hands.

What if Diana found out?

What if this wasn't just a game?

The soft sound of footsteps echoed behind me.

I took a deep breath.

The true test wasn't strength.

It was control.

And I was about to find out if I had any left.
